Masters in 3d Animation, which is what I teach at Wits and yes, videogames are my field of research and the subject matter that I lecture on and supervise.

And as an aside although I don't work in the production house during the day, I am involved in the content to a certain extent... ;)

Some interesting and constructive criticism, always good to get useful feedback.

ok I'll give constructive criticism Many people say the show is sh*t and it is you cant hide from that fact .... it just is. Your game reviews are rubbish lacking relevant content that we want to know about the game. And you basically cover the same games all the time. And some say it will get better with time but how many episodes have aired about 131, I think its been long enough. And your live game demo's ....... i wont even go there ill just say this TIP: play game more that once before you go on air and start sucking on live TV. And i'll tell you why the news is boring ,It's just 1 guy reading a teleprompter and thats all you do, gaming is suppose to be enjoyable. And i dont like the fact that the show goes out live and the only reason that i can see for it being live is the sms line, and all it does is take up space yes the competitions are nice (If you own a console ....... which i dont) and some are the pole questions are bad and completely irrelevant too justify the sms line. And stop saying you went out and got a interview clip from the developers of said game ,you didnt you got it from the internet. And lastly please oh for the love of god please stop saying you have exclusives because you just don't you download them from the internet.

How you can make something so bad and yet it has such a huge following is beyond me. Which is why i made that previous comparison :) (And i refuse too take it back)

I'm sure I've seen a few reviews on The Verge. I didn't have any issues with them though.

Maybe the show should be a bit more dynamic. Get a nice set going which changes, mix up the camera angles. Have guest hosts and get some witty banter and discussion going. It lacks a bit of personality.

How to make The Verge better:

1. Make the sms feedback rubbish framing the screen smaller. It's blocks out most of the screen and really is a pain. (better yet, just remove the useless thing all together.

2. Get better quality videos. There is simply no excuse for the high contrast, low resolution vids. Either your encoding is terrible or you're feeding us youtube vids.

Hope you guys get it right soon.
