According to Archimedes, oh f*** it ,

It's glass and metal now, so it's maybe a bit better,

But actually, the aygo and c1 also have glass tailgates, so maybe it's safe?
Only thing I do notice is the sill is much lower than the brio,

Never understood why.

The Spanish version of the Up! - called the SEAT Mii - has a STEEL tailgate - maybe you could ask VW to order this and fit it to your Up! instead - you might even be able to pay less insurance for it as well!

Review of the MY2017. Lovely 66kw/160nm 1L TSI.

Eg2505 do note the restyled glass tailgate. Others can note the Golf 7 steering wheel.
