Basically eating as normal. I was lucky enough that I didn't have to make major changes to my diet, but needed to be more active. I have one large meal a day in the afternoons and perhaps a light snack at 7PM if I feel like it. The major thing I cut out was eating party bags of Doritos over weekends.@Crusader How do you manage your diet?

Just go for it.Been seeing more and more of these GLP-1 and to br honest I have to get in. My weight is causing health issues and type 2 diabetes is probably waiting for me around the corner.
I was on this for a while (very low dosage TBH). It works to some extent but it dome come with side effects and for the first day or 2 I felt really rbbish.read up on semaglutide - yoh, it is an injection. I hope it doesn't come to me injecting self.![]()
Oh ok. I will do anything to avoid costly interventions in weight loss. I have plateaued for nearly 2 months but I know what needs to be done. I just need to have discipline that I had for first 6 months of weight loss.I was on this for a while (very low dosage TBH). It works to some extent but it dome come with side effects and for the first day or 2 I felt really rbbish.
The injection really is nothing. The needle is so thin you hardly know about it. Also note, its expensive AF
You just walk into the GP and ask for Ozempic?Just go for it.
It is worth the cost, it is an absolute game changer.

Googling "ozempic cost south africa" gives me this as top result. How much do you reckon is 1 months supply?
One injection pen of Ozempic costs between R1200 – R1500 and can last an individual anywhere between one – eight weeks depending on their dose (10). It is important to note, the above studies proving the efficacy of the drug were conducted using a high dose of 2.4mg, with less efficacy seen on lower doses (4,6).
I really doubt that GP's dish it out on demand. You just walk into the GP and ask for Ozempic?
Ozempic is a Schedule 4, prescription-only medicine, authorised by SAHPRA only for the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults.
