The Witcher (Netflix) - 2019/2020

If it even gets a Season 4. . .
Lots of better shows were cancelled even before a season 3

It is already renewed so that contract is in place. I doubt they will invoke a cancellation clause because the community is upset about the current event. The show runners have a 7-season plan, so there is the odd chance that we may see more Geralt Hemsworth than we did Cavill.

I think some peeps might be right that Cavill and the writers didn't agree on the creative side. It is best to accept that this isn't Sapkowski's nor CDPR's Witcher.

Renewed is not set in stone.
Shows like Why women kill and GLOW was also renewed and then pulled.

Guardians of the Galaxy director and DC Studios’ new co-chairman, James Gunn, is writing a Superman movie that won’t involve the actor Henry Cavill, who said it was “not the easiest news” after he only recently announced that he would be returning to the role.

The new Superman film penned by Gunn will take the character in a different direction and focus on the superhero’s younger years. The announcement comes amid momentous change at DC Studios and parent company Warner Brothers, which has been slashing scores of projects to cut costs after merging with Discovery, Inc.

It seems to me that DC Studios, in their merger with Discovery, wishes to produce content to capture the younger generations. Odd place that Cavill is in, it was assumed that he would now be committed to Superman, but now… it is not the case. He does have other commitments, but I think his superhero ride has come to an end.

Another article said that Gunn might consider Cavill to play another DC person. Lol.

At least this will provide some entertainment online, Cavill leaving as The Witcher already had the internet with their theory hats on.

Anyway, OT, but Cavill is a 'cinema' hero no more. Still a detective though.

Are you talking about Blood Origin? That one took the title of worst fantasy series away from Willow, which took the title away from Rings of Power, which took the title from Wheel of time. A race to the bottom seems to be the MO for this year.
I'd say Blood origin is arguably worst series, not just fantasy, based on mainstream franchises this year.
 
They said they're sticking to the books and not the games. Yet they failed at that part.

Trailer shows a maze scene, likely the one from the games, in which case I foresee a pitchfork in Gerald's future.
Cue Liam Hemsworth...
