The Witcher (Netflix) - 2019/2020

Don't know why but I have been battling since Season 1 to get sold on The Witcher. Apart from Geralt, Yennifer and Ciri, the story line just doesn't grab me. Maybe cause I never red the books? Im a huge fantasy fan and loved LOTR (book/movies, not series) and GOT but The Witcher just bores me to death.

How much have you watched? Season1 was a bit of a mess but it got better in my opinion.

Have watched it all so far in the hope that it gets better. Season 1 was ok but 2 & 3 just went backwards imho.

It’s a complete mess - how they spend so much money for such tripe when they have decent source material is beyond me - Shannara was even worse.

Really isn’t a good advertisement for the scriptwriters involved.

Problem with seasons coming out more than a year apart is that I have no ****ing clue what’s going on when the new one starts.

Wife and I were excited for S3, started it, and both just looked at each other. So, we’re doing an S1 and 2 marathon to catch up again.

So episode 6 is okay.

Episode 7 is maybe necessary but actually just an steaming pile. I won’t write any details for fear of spoilers, but Christ.

Hoping the last episode is decent.

Episode 6 was the best of the lot. Episode 7 & 8 - bored me to death. Not convinced it will get better so not gonna bother watching Season 4 when it comes out.

Yea dude, also not going to watch The Witcher without the real Geralt. I mean that's like watching The Dark Knight but there's no Batman.

Going t re-watch seasons 1 and 2 again in the background just to catch up. Looking forward to s03. I have enjoyed all of it except the fscking bard.

Having not red the books, I thought it was going to be more Monster Hunter than Game of Thrones. All the non Geralt/Ciri/Yenefer scenes had me skipping a lot of scenes. All the political manuevering/ storylines drove me to boredom and drink. Note to self - Read the books first !

Complete garbage.
Funny enough, the best episodes are the 'stand alone' episodes which features one of the short stories.

Rest of it is a massive waste of time

Reading the books will not help here.
They deviated from them a lot and is half the reason this series sucks to much

Hemsworth just doesn’t have the same aura. And they’ve gone way off the source material (main reason Cavill left). Think I’ll give this season a skip.

Think I will give this season a skip as well. Last season was boring as hell and with the new one I feel Liam has not got the same gravitas as Henry.
