Stage manager on iPad looks nice but if I understand correctly, limited to only M1 models? Oh well.

I'm just glad there's finally a black MacBook so now the best looking laptops on the market are the Surface laptop 4 and the m2 air

Not until they solve the latency issues it isn’t. But who knows what they’re cooking up , Keystone will be very interesting indeed.

The Air has two M2 options; 8, 16 or 24GB memory options, 256Gb up to 2Tb storage options and three different power adaptor options.

$1199,00 base spec up to $2499,00 for a full spec.

Now, let's see what Core do.

Interesting, so they kept 8GB as the base spec.

The old 16Gb 256Gb model sold for $1199 in the US and R22999 here, so assuming the rand hasn't changed much it gives a pretty good idea what the pricing will be.

The new M2 Air still has the same limitations and base specs as the previous model though (starting with 8GB RAM/256GB HDD, one external monitor support etc.) so just be aware of that. And as we know Core will mostly import the base specs, anything else is a 'special order' that will cost you extra extra.

Isn’t Metal just based on Mantle like DX12 and Vulkan and whatever Sony is using?

In fact, having a to-the-metal API makes more sense with Apple Silicon than it ever did otherwise.
