Ok let's assume I have no idea what I'm doing.
Xbox Live!
How do I go about it exactly? I setup a "live" email account so I could access it turns out the region isn't supported by Xbox live. I was reading it's basically changing the details of that email account to something like the UK. But points from some other international site and then get a gold account.
I stopped when it gave me the crap about locale not supported. Is there no other way of doing this?

That's your answer
If i buy a XBOX360 in the USA, will it work in SA.
Will i be able to play SA games on the US XBOX?
You'll need an SA power adapter or a power converter to sort out the mains issue.
Only region-free games (of which most of the big titles are ... e.g. Gears Of War 2) will work on the NTSC-U which the US 360 is
Why do you want to go through all that trouble though?
I am in the US and plan on buying a XBOX, but i will come back home some time... Then if i buy a game here, i want to be able to play it on the US XBOX, even though its a SA-region game...
Rename your local account to something unique and ad a ZA at the back of it.
Once the account is on live is will cost you 800 MS to change it... so be sure.
If the name you want is allready taken, cancel process, go back to dash and rename your local account. Rinse Repeat.
Well, there is only a complicated way of changing the region of the console, and it's once only if I remember correctly.
You'll only be able to play region-free games bought in SA on your soon to be bought 360. If they load on your US Xbox, (SA 360 game), you'll know it's region free.
How will i be able to point out SA-region-free games?
I currently own the Arcade console. (Console without the hard drive)
I wish to play games directly from a hard drive.
I want to purchase a hard drive. (only to play games from)
The 120G are currently not availible in SA. If I settle for a 20G hard drive-
How many games can I load onto this hard drive?
Am I just wasting my money? Should I wait for the 120G hard drive?![]()
You can get the 120Gb's here, just search on jump.co.za, they're usually around R1600.
contact Microsoft, get a ref number and if you still have proof of purchase, just take it back to Game for a swap outIf you don't have the proof of purchase, you'll have to contact MI Digital and that costs about R700 (or thereabouts).
