All I can say is the less programs and specs a phone have the beta. the batery life is longer and you have less general problems with the phone.
I am just stating to wonder as my previous and curent Nokia each time it almost comes to the 24 months it starts freezing on me when it never used to. Could anyone also confirm anything like this? Could this be a ploy to get us to get new phones?

Agreed, you never heard of guys complaining about their 1100 or their 8210's...

Once upon a time we marvelled at this great invention that was the cell phone where you could make a call, know if the phone doesn't have a 8MP camera, wifi, bluetooth, GPS and microsoft office we dump it for an upgrade...

Technology.... Got to love it but it's sometimes all consuming...
 
I also followed ABU's install guide for Garmin. Took about five minutes if you exclude the downloading of the maps. Also I had to rename the the files in the command prompt. Working great now.
 
Good to know that garmin works on the phone. Mine should be coming next week some time.

dropped my phone pretty savagely on concrete last night while out on the town. two scratched corners but no other problems
 
X1 is like any other phone, drop and you can expect some sort of damage!! But it is not as fragile as people are making out to be!!
 
I dropped mine the other day and battery cover and battery came off. Was really ****ing myself till it was on and working fine again. Luckily no scratches.:D
 
Still waiting on my phone....So much for 2-3 days...But just got a call confirming it is ready for collection at the MTN shop tomorrow...YAY, Now I just need to beg and pleed for someone to take me to go fetch it.....

Yea. I called MTN in fourways mall. They had ten available (yesterday) and I'm getting mine from there tomorrow. There contact number is 0114654805. Open at 9 tomorrow. Get'it while t's hot !!!!

Just e mailed Vodacom, they offered me the phone for R2700 on a talk 500 where I am speniding about R1800 every month just one one number. Bloody ridiculous and MTN offer it for free?
Time to cancel.

MTN's been offering really good value lately, Vodacom have always been a little wayward with their pricing. Nice that porting is an option these days...
