This is really scarring me, my fnb investment account is losing value.
I need a foreign account but don't have enough yet to open one. :(

4 month income to buy a new car
around 4 years to buy a house.

You will struggle to find ANY country in world where cost of living is anywhere remotely the same to 40 years ago.:rolleyes:

Here in New Zealand i was reading a children's book the other evening to my daughter from her school library, the book still had its old price tag on it. The price of the book was NZ$5 in 1981. I was very surprised because thats about the the same as what we would pay for a similar book today, over 25 years later.

anyway, today my NZ$ buys me R6.55. This is crazy stuff.

What is a good site where you can watch these rates? I know about www.xe.com, but that doesn't show gold and oil...

Also, where can I find detail graphs of any currency vs any other? Again, like the charts on xe, but not limited to the currencies they provide. Obviously want it free! :)
