I'll personally come deliver it,seeing as we are both in the Northern Suburbs,and I'll give you 2/1 so if you are right you'll get double the amount of beers that you'd owe me if it doesn't get there

I hope for all our sakes I will owe you beer :) I think it'll hang around $14/15 if emerging markets recovers.

Not everyone could sell a banana for $100 because that's not its true value and no one would buy it at that price, it's true value is what it sells for in the supermarket.

You might think the Rand is undervalued, that's your opinion and quite valid, but it's true value is what the world is currently trading it at.

No you are confused by real value (which is something's intrinsic value irrespective of what it's selling for) and the speculative supply and demand value. If the market has no bananas you can sell one for R100 but that doesn't make that it's true value if we look at what food/fruit is worth.

Same with our currency. R7 can do about the same in our country that $1 can do in the U.S. Europeans are coming here and having a ball on an undervalued currency.

Unlike a Rond, a banana has intrinsic value though in that you can eat it. The Ronds (and any other currency) has no intrinsic value beyond whatever people believe it is worth - and that in turn brings us back to the market rate.

emerging markets and commodity driven economies are in for a painful year. at least my business is propped up by a weaker rand which should mitigate some other pains.
 
16.75 now... from .60 this morning it's already dropped 15c. Looks like a free fall day. Hope everyone brought their umbrellas.
