No you're still thinking in rand terms. In dollar terms the difference is less than 1 USD cent. Also you're fudging the figures here. The 12 zar cent difference people were calling unstable is less than 1% so not really unstable.
It's all relative...You know, there was a point where the Zim dollar went from 1c to the US dollar to near-zero cents to the US dollar, so also less than one US cent difference - no big deal, right? :wtf:
nice to see you can take a joke
Back to ZAR, what's the bets on what time we will hit R16/dollar again?
(R14.98/dollar currently)
We can hope. PC part prices have been climbing since Nenegate14.67 ,please stay quite JZ![]()

That thought had crossed my mind. And it won't come down.
People never adjust back when stuff settles

Nah, for instance I've seen hdd and ram prices skyrocket and then fall right back, if the base cost comes down then retail competition drags the price back down. That's only true if the zar strengthens though and maintains it.And it won't come down.

Not sure about that. My experience is the opposite I will go dig for some pricing charges for ram and harddrive relating to zar spikes
Wasn't RAM due to some factory being damaged, worldwide it never came down in price.

Yeah, I think 2-4 years later a factory should be back up and running, smacks of price collusion tbh.Thailand flooding 2011 - hard drives etc.

Also second largest manufacturer of RAM had a fire at their factory in China in 2013.
