Sheesh, it's crypt all over again. The rally on Friday went staight to the monthly pivot. This morning hit 38% of pivot resistance. There's a heck of a lot of resistance for the Rand to go weaker than 17.35.
Theres plenty of upward momentum, but I expect we should be around R16.50 by the end of August
A confident break of 17.35 means I'm buying all the way to 18.00 baby, so there's that
On the other hand, stability below 17.18 and I'll short to 16.92 (weekly pivot centre)

16.85
I wanted to take out a couple hundred k when it blew through 17. Transaction went through this morning at a fairly decent rate. Will sit tight until 16.5 to move some more. Will see what the market does towards the end of the year before I decide what I'm doing. What are people's dollar buy targets? It's R16.50 for me.
Very difficult to say, but if things hold the patterns they are, I would guess around 16.15 or so. I wouldnt bet much money on that thoughWhat's your medium term prediction for September?

That's already been priced into the exchange since March. Infact, I'm expecting that if GDP comes out at anthing better than -40% yoy then we will see an increase to the strength of the RandGDP results will surely have some sort of effect once the market knows?
