My neighbour has a new gadget of sorts...but can't identify the sound.

Sounds halfway between a vacuum cleaner, electric drill and a 2000W dildo. Tiny bit alarmed to be honest. :erm:

Never had that issue with my lovely 4 year old AM1 machine. Just keeps going right. Oh, it runs Windows 10, perhaps you are on a lesser version?

Since I saw your first post I headed down my usual rabbit hole. Plenty of Merc coupes, huge 607 and 407 Pugs, Alfas and other cars that fell in value because plebs don't understand them. Buy these. If you want to feel like a king, a used 607 can do that.

Which by definition is a UPS still hiehie. This I am saying while cutting some filters to replace the ones in our 80kva ups. Actually two of them (hot standby) coupled with a static switch and fail over bypass to another grid
 
Bs meetings where the other parties have nothing and blame you because “they couldn’t do anything” without documents that you “supposedly did not provide them”.

The reality is that it’s been over a year that they have these documents (I have receipts signed) but the subordinate lies to his boss to hide his incompetency.
 
Handed in laptop for upgrade at 14:30. "It'll take about an hour"

Three hours later they're still copying files.

Which killed my prep time for meetings tmw. Sigh...

And had to commandeer a minions laptop for an important email. They were not impressed.
 
Not having keyless entry on a loaner car. Yes before everyone goes off at me, its just once you get used to the concept taking out a key from your pocket while your hands are full is so 1960s

I've tried multiple "scrappies" who advertise stripping Chevrolet Cruzes to no avail, it's like they put up these fake ads or something. I need a new gear knob for my car well just the top part as it came off and I have no idea where I put it :(.
 
So far I have only dealt with scrappies in the UK. With so few of those coupes on the road it is even rarer to find one as a scrappy. But as I said, it's just my luck to need a part and the stealership making R12k when a few weeks later there is a scrappy.
 
My phone's charger point. You have to balance the cords just right for it to charge these days; any bump and it stops charging.
Every other day I leave it to charge, only to find it at like 2% hours later.
 
Quite a bad day

1. Visiting a waste plant (horrible smell) with a hangover. Definitely not a good idea.
2. Having to move very soon because of new dog rules making it impossible to reasonably live with a dog in the complex.
3. Starting another 4 rounds of chemotherapy next week.

On the good side, I travelled in a G63 and later in a CLA45.

Hopefully, nothing else pops up today.
