People with the Learners sign on their car that seem to have just gotten their licenses. When you get your license take it off. No one is going to drive any differently and it's no excuse for you doing 30 in an 80 zone clutching the steering wheel in panic.
I encountered four today alone? Since when did people leave these on? Are they code 10ers?

I know people where the paranoid parents make them drive with a L on the theory that others will be more cautious thus they're safer

Yes. Flick the 'switch' and its on, flick the 'switch' and it's off. Fog lights come one with the rest. No need to mess around with combinations.

Try having one of those bakkies with a bulbar mounted LED rectangle off road lights that can be seen from the ISS behind you when its on.
