Exactly. I'm basically financially worse off than I was 5 years ago, and I don't have any more deductions than I had then. So I've gone from intermediate to senior developer, yet worse off now.

But don't expect certain forumtards to have the comprehension for this.

My wife got shafted the same way. She got an inflation related increase but at the same time started working 7 hours a day instead of 8. So she now actually earns less due to the 12.5% decrease in work hours. But less hours is a good thing when you work for *******s like she does.

Working for a company that earns $/£/€ I'm hoping to see a worthwhile increase since I am earning R.
