Looking forward on leaving 2 PM on this beautiful Friday, and then hearing there is a 3PM meeting you WILL attend. :mad:

People who think you shouldn't voice an opinion without irrefutable proof.
 
People are free to have opinions, just state them with common decency and if challenged be prepared to give it some backup, so that everyone learns.

You do not have facts to back up every opinion you have, why should anyone else? And why shut up if you have an opinion on a matter just because you lack proof? I'm not insecure in that way. I agree with the common decency bit. Nothing wrong with being polite.
 
I didn't tell anyone to shut up, and never stated I have proof for everything I believe. I also believe that absolute proof of anything is very hard to obtain, and generally prefer the term evidence (as in adding support for something if people challenge an opinion). It's part of how knowledge is generated.

People are being really touchy on the forum today, chill out, it's the weekend...

Nobody said you told anyone to shut up. I was pointing out a pet peeve - that's the subject of the thread, not? I was merely clarifying my first post that you responded to. How do you come to the conclusion that i'm being touchy without a face to face convo anyhow?

The "touchy" comment was with regards to another conversation I witnessed and was a part of in addition to the tone I interpreted from your response. Don't care enough to continue and derail though.

On a train...whip out laptop to watch series. Episode opens with a sex scene. FML...

On the plus side train has good wifi....2mbps...not bad for "free" on a moving vehicle.
 
People sharing sad stories about a sick child. What is more irritating is the parents can help the child, but they refuse to, because it involves vaccinating the child. So instead they will turn to pray.
 
People riding events with a bluetooth speaker blaring out music of their own personal taste.

Tight roadie cycle pants in an MTB event. Honestly people, this ain't 2010 anymore. For the love of all that is good please get yourself some descent looking baggies.

Anti vaxxers? It's evolution. Their kids will die to prevent their stupidity from spreading to a new generation.

Yup seems like they are, though I don't get it. If I was told this will save my son, I'd do it 100 times over, but they don't seem to think like that.
