Things that please you...

Learning new stuff.

For instance, TIL that some cars come fitted with Clutch Delay Valves to prevent people dumping the clutch and possibly damaging the drivetrain in their vehicles
If the drive train is so weak that it, rather than traction, is the weak link, then I'll pass thanks

True:D

I don't think my little Hyundai's engine poses a threat to my drivetrain anyhow, but I think in the back of my mind how these laaities with their Citi Golfs with hot cams in must abuse those transmissions and how much punishment they are meant to endure

Ooooooooh!!!

My father also has a Blaauwklippen of the early eighties in his collection.

Good service. After my mechanical failure yesterday I call up a local bike shop I visit less frequently. After saying who it is calling the guy says "Paul, yes, I saw your facebook post, you need a replacement hanger?" We both laugh and the says he'll order one for me and have it tomorrow.

I took this one out so that I could give the handset to my mom (Vodafone Smart Platinum 7). Hers was just about at the end of its tether, and the contract was good value at the time.

The handset still works fine, so I won't be renewing. I may be making a switch to Telkom Mobile, but I still need to view the details and weigh up the options.

So Murphy is very cruel and has decided that the handset that I gave to my mom to use doesn't switch on, exactly 18 days out of warranty.

Feck.
