Added 21 more sites and 2 new categories. Most of em are from the thread Sites cached on Saix Local

I want to know if its okay if I start a new thread with these sites listed as the first post?

I like that idea, either create a new thread and add sites as you go or the person who started this thread should edit the 1st post and list all the sites.

Any Idea why http://www.nasa.gov works once capped?

It's because of the local Akamia servers. As mentioned, look in this thread to see which others are available.

Added, pretty cool how many useful sites SA have. I'm still looking for a software download site, one that host files such as winzip, drivers, winamp, system utilities. Tucows was not hosted locally so I had to remove it. Anyone know of such a site?

I downloaded Quickbooks from Tucows and to my amazement it used the local account. (The link was intuit.com not quickbooks.co.za)

aNy game can be played with local bandwith if you use direct connect

Some of these games require to log into a international site first, I think it is possible that some of these games that require international login can be played if you know the IP of the game server and try to connect that way, bypassing the international login. Thats how I connect to steam games when I'm capped.

I hate to double post in a thread, but its the only way to show its updated. I really don't want all this work gone to waist and wondered if a mod could please sticky this thread, since I and a few others think its totally worth it.

In anyway. I've added 13 new sites which is totally worth visiting.

thanks for the sticky support. I've still haven't found any good download sites, only SAIX Game Server site, which host demos and patches for the games it host servers for, but thats it. Does nobody know of a good locally hosted software site?

I've added a new site, AntRadio. This site includes 36 radio stations from South Africa. This includes Metro FM, 5FM, SA FM, Algoa FM, RSG, Radio 2000 and many more. A good contribute I think and worthy of another post.
