The List has been very successful up to this point. We have a very comprehensive and inclusive list of locally accessible sites and services for when your cap goes down. I am very happy, and thanks for the support.

I foresee some potential issues for this list.

1.) Editing Rules.

We are doing this list in a Wikipedia fashion. In other words people take the previously updated list and edit it, refine it and add to it and then post the new list. Please be careful not to remove links unless there is an duplicate entry.

2.) It is becoming too long to fit into a single Post.

So I suggest that in the future once it is too big for a single Post we should number the lists and categorize them in some way. AKA Multiple lists.

3.) Single entries issue.

People are posting some nice links here and there but they will not be added unless we have a good system.

So I suggest that people post their links without editing the list as a whole, and then someone can take all those posts and add them to the list monthly or weekly.

That's all I really could think of up to this point. Any suggestions are welcome.

btw How can we make this thread a sticky?

Actually it's more of a case that webhosting companies in South Africa refuse to host it...
 
I would like to find one guy in the world who has not watched porn or does not have porn on their pc....

the sites that I left out from the previous lists did not work for me. But we can try and re-test them. Some of them might have only been down temporarily.

Well vanilla hosts this site... and they are a local company. .com is one of the options we also have locally. Doesn't mean it's hosted in the States.

The IP address resolves to the USA. Did a WHOIS lookup.... and just tested it on my local. Does not work. Too bad :(

That sucks. I had a client the other day that used a local/intl hosting company but the site is hosted abroad.... much cheaper. Huge speed difference.

Our company website is also with a local hoster that uses USA servers. I guess that enables them to offer 3Gb of bandwidth a month for R100. They could not do that over here :(
