Things to do when your cap runs out

Ja, be aware that a lot of the videos on local sites don't work, or only partly work. I guess the video feed comes from a different direction than the HTTP content. Don't complain about it to us. Just take what you can get. :)

http://www.howstuffworks.com/ is already included in the list in this thread and on the local list... http://www.locallist.co.za/

I don't know of any local site that offers documentaries unfortunately :(

thanx. Ya... i discovered that too (vids not playing... kinda sux - altho im not complaining :-D ). Just would be nice if i can put my 20 gig local to some GOOD use... instead of just browsing sites. Howstuffworks is a gem tho :-D

Docos are my thing :-D - so if i could get a local server... that would make me a very happy chappy.

thanx nauseous_monkey :D :D
some good stuff there (including one of my favs ->> Penn & Teller :D )
If anyone else has links, please post :)

Can anyone tell me whats the point of being able to view gametrailers.com on local when it won't load the videos? sorry, but that is rubbish!

There are a lot of those sites which won't load the videos. They are actually international sites which are being mirrored in South Africa. But not all the content is mirrored locally. Obviously their video feed does not have a local mirror. We still index the sites because there is often other content there for us to read or download. Sometimes the situation changes as well. The sites often change the way their content is configured. If you want to be able to access that data you need to purchase more international bandwidth. If you want to watch videos use one of the other local video sites. :)

Just dropping in...

If you guys find any cool new links please submit them at locallist.co.za
People are capped badly at the moument and would be nice to support one another :)
