I see Babel in the role Gerard has now, sort of hanging around the edge of the box either to burst through or blasting shots in. However is close quarter ball control is lacking. There is talk of Vila coming, but I don't know enough about him to comment.
As for threat in the air, till we get someone who can cross properly or put in a good corner (which SG can't) it's kind of a moot point.

I havent seen his goal against spurs yet,was at a stupid mothers day lunch thingy yesterday but so far all his goals have been unique to me. Nemeth wont be an exact swap,i just think that because teams will be allowed 8 substitutes on the bench next season that the guys like Nemeth and Insua will get more exposure,not saying they will start matches but then again crouchy didnt start too many ether.

Very true. All the more reason to get some quality wingers. Babel playing Gerrard's role sounds good. Just hope Rafa doesn't put the shackles on Gerrard like he did Alonso if Gerrard plays alongside Masch.
Screw the change of tactics,i say we should find one formation and stick with it.Let other teams worry about us for a change.Torres has proven that he can lead the line but he needs a partner to play just behind him ,similar to what stevie-g was doing in the new formation we've been playing.
