05.48am on a Sunday Morning top up prepaid ADSL account.

After 5 mins it hasnt registered yet and it usually takes only a fe seconds. Phone WA 24hr support line. The tech guy sorts it out and Im back online.

Now where else could you get this kind of service?

This is why I stay with Web Africa even though they dont YET (hint) offer the semi-shaped IS accounts that are really what I want.

Service and support is king in my book and WA has bundles of it.

Thanks guys.

Thank you for your compliments, its always great to get positive feed back from our clients and I will be sure to pass it along :D

Although I'm not sure if or when the package above would be implemented I can promise that there are many exciting things to look forward to in the not so distant future ;)

WA > *

Once the IS Semi Shaped comes to WA axxess can kiss my furry bum

How about a VPN internet service?;)

I'm not so sure about webafrica. So i got a 10 gig local account yesterday, and used the account. In the evening i get this email :

Before your Web Africa account can be activated, we require a copy
of your identification document(ID) as well as a copy of the front
of the credit card used on your account.

Fax number: 0214131111
E-mail address: [email protected]

Should you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact our billing
department.

Enjoy the rest of you're day. :-)

Regards,

Now these are STRICT terms that need to be stipulated before I try to purchase an account. What kind of a business requires that sort of information, but doesn't tell me this before they take my money ??

Got the same problem a few days back, talked to their billing manager here and she promised to investigate as whoever let you sign up for the account did not notify you this before hand. Read my story here http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=141197

Ahhh, so it wasnt just me!! I replied with:

You tell me this after you take my money?

and i got a phone call pretty quickly to verify my street address... Thats not sufficient verification anyway.

How many others have seen this email a while after their money was taken ?

Hi Phiber

Could I please request that you send me your client code, either via PM or emailing me, [email protected]. Once I have received your client code, I will be able to give you more sufficient feedback on why the verification was required from you.

Much appreciated!

I don't remember needing to verify anything like that.

WebAfrica is tops in my books. Getting connected has never been so easy. The whole process is so streamlined and convenient.

I have just created an account and ordered 1gb prepaid. By accident i ordered 2x 1gb accounts so i would have seperate ones. It took WebAfrica about 3 minutes to respond to my query, cancel the one account, reverse charges. 1st time user with them and all i can say is Well Done! you okes are amazing keep it up

When you read threads like this, its hard to understand how any ISP's can offer bad service, the competition is tough as it is and with forums like this bad news spreads fast.
