Thunderbird Settings (Sending Mail)

Hi.

I can receive email, but I cannot send. I have set up the outgoing server.

These are the settings I have under Outgoing Server (SMTP):

Description: <not specified>
Server Name: smtp.telkomsa.net
Port: 465
User Name: [email protected]
Authentication Method: Normal Password
Connection Security: SSL/TLS

Questions:

1. Should the user name be my email address including @telkomsa.net or excluding
2. Authentication method?
3. Connection Security?

Also try smtp.saix.net

Don't think you need SSL/TLS security.

Think your e-mail username is different than you e-mail address. Try something like online123456 etc.

Teklkom's mail servers are stock standard SMTP..

Connection Security = None
Authentication Method = Normal Password
Port = 25

No user name required.

try using smtp.isdsl.net its what my father uses and we also on telkom
