Pay online using credit card, when you collect get them to reverse and use vouchers. No?

That stove is exclusive to online shopping and may only be purchased online as it is not stocked in-store. That means that you cannot purchase it with discount vouchers from eBucks since you cannot pay with vouchers when shopping online with Makro. You can buy it using eBucks as payment but then you don't get the up to 40% discount.

You could use the Makro virtual voucher instead of the Makro gift card. That might help.

I want this

The online shopping site seems to only accept credit cards not virtual vouchers.
When I'm ready to buy I'll get them to help me find a way.

Well what use is a virtual voucher then? Where can it be used?

You can use a virtual voucher in-store. They sms you the voucher code instead of sending a physical gift voucher card. Makro does not accept any vouchers as payment method when shopping online.

I would phone Makro and try organise - they are potentially losing a 16K sale...

Exactly.

I don't have the 17k in vouchers yet - 1/3rd of the way there, but I'm pretty sure anything is possible.

I queried using the vouchers for online only items and they said:

Thank you for your enquiry.

Please be advised that online exclusive items can only be purchased online and vouchers only apply in store as we do not have any payment option for vouchers online.

We apologize for the inconvenience caused!

I'm going to question them on this pretty strongly. Will wave CPA at them and all sorts.
Especially if it's only a technical reason, like they've given you.

TBH, it will be easy enough for me to go into a store, order the damn thing for delivery, pay with virtual vouchers, and go home. Just means it gets into their system via their normal ordering process rather than their website.

I bought something in-store which they had to order. I could however not pay with my eBucks voucher. I had to redeem the eBucks voucher for credit at the till and then used that to pay for the order. I think it is just the way their systems work, but it doesn't always make sense.

I know for example that Le Creuset recently added vouchers as a payment method for online shopping. Let's hope that is something that Makro is working on.

Where there's a will there's a way, I'm sure :D

From Makro:

Hi Steven, the functionality to use virtual vouchers online is not active as yet. We are currently working on the functionality in the meantime you can use your voucher in store. Thanks Makro

Awesome.

Edit: this confirms Easypay is 4% on platinum for me.

Edit 2: also shows that my US hosting account for $12/month is being allocated as Shopping Online (Credit Card) not Shopping International (Credit Card). Doesn't matter.

Edit 3: /fires off email to Toyota, Liberty, PSG and Discovery asking if it's possible to pay by credit card ... taking a chance, you never know

Awesome ! my water and lights payments will go through easy pay from now on ! :)

I honoestly don't know. Never needed to do that, because from day 1 when I signed up, I tended to go for much lower limits, mostly as an added security that I will never spend outside of my means of paying back.

Personally I would just phone in and ask them to reduce it asap. Then confirm online once they say it is done.

Yeah just phoned them and took them 1.5 days to have it updated. Should've made the effort to get to RL5 long time ago.

Bio,

I just want to confirm, you don't have prepaid elec or water meters, and you pay your full bill via easypay (and you got 4% in ebucks back last month for your water and lights payments).

I am trying to PM you, but nothing goes through by the looks of it

@zerocool, rather buy your prepaid electricity via FNB online banking or their app. Then get up to 15% back in eBucks.
