@zerocool, rather buy your prepaid electricity via FNB online banking or their app. Then get up to 15% back in eBucks.

Some complexes (like mine) have these independent contractors who provide prepaid electricity. You have to purchase your tokens through them. It's a pain in the arse as I would obviously prefer to buy my prepaid tokens through FNB...

Almost, but not quite.

Your account balance (actual amount you owe) should be between 1000 and 9000 at least once during the month (overnight). If you go over 9000 overnight you won't get the points. If you never hit 1000 overnight you also don't get the points.

Is this correct? It says use between 10% and 90% on your credit card during a calander month. So, even if your running balance is over 10% in the month, if you only spent 8% of your CC limit that month, you surely won't get the points?

***EDIT
I just called ebucks. They assured my it is not your running balance but your monthly spend that matters. You just need to make sure the transaction has gone through in the relevant months (sometimes it takes a few days after purchase for transactions to be complete). I got a reference for the call, so we'll see what happens when points are allocated, possible fights with them ahead!

The reason why I ask about easypay, I don't have prepaid at all. I know the saying prepaid is much cheaper than normal electricity, or that is the theory.

That is why I want to know from Biometrics, does he just pay his normal (non prepaid) over easypay

@Hobbenstein, ok but if u spend say 51% of your limit in month 1 and then another 50% in month 2 before you have paid month 1's amount due, then you have exceeded your credit card limit. There will be penalties so they are wrong to say running balance does not matter

Eric B is doing alright with his eBucks.
How do they get something like this so wrong?
One wonders if this is the same system that sends OTP!!

They did not allocate my points for online shopping in March. Yet on the 30th of March I bought something from Takealot. I received an email on the same day from Takealot confirming receipt of payment. Yet on the my bankstatement it shows on the 2nd of April. No way they can use that as excuse. The transaction was done on the 30th. The vendor confirmed receipt of paymenty on the 30th. I will demand my points (and RL 5 as result). I see a possible fight coming up. :)

This has happened to me too.

How to avoid. Doesnt matter what you are actually doing within the month to boost your ebucks status, ie using your overdraft, making an online purchase. What ever you do, DONT leave this till the last minute/day. These transactions can take time to reflect, and even though you for example get an SMS to confirm the payment, doesnt mean the payment will reflect within that month.

Unfortunately not worth the grief to expect transactions to reflect when you would expect them to...

In value of Makro vouchers. (40% vs 30%) and taking everything into consideration the difference totals R789!!!
That's a ****load of shopping at Makro. Groceries which could have covered my household for quite a few days. Or perhaps a couple of blurays. Or a nice gift for my wife. Whatever.

So its most defnitely worth kicking up a fuss. If everybody thought like you and just didnt bother taking it up further... then expect these stupid errors to appear more and more often on your ebucks.

You misunderstood my meaning. I meant rather make your purchase three days before end of the month or sooner if that is what you require for reward level 5. That's taking a bit of a chance IMO.

I think you are going to have a huge uphill battle in getting a win now, but good luck!

edit: They are probably covered in their terms and conditions as the date on your statement for that purchase will reflect in the next calendar month (April). You might have initiated the payment in March but the payment only cleared in April according to FNB.
