Nope, it qualifies as a day-to-day account.

If you click on For Me on the homepage, you will see a Savings and Investments section - accounts here will qualify. I have a Share Saver and 7-day notice account, both of which qualify. If you log onto online banking, and go to My Bank Accounts, you should also see a section called Savings and Investments - all accounts listed there will qualify...

Okay so I either need to pump another 5k into the Savings Pocket or put the 10k into that Tax Free option.

Not sure I want to lock it down just yet but it might be a good idea.

It's good to diversify anyway.

I wouldn't waste my time with the TFSA though, your returns are capped and aren't that great. To me it's just a marketing gimmick since savings accounts have always been tax free up until a certain amount, it's just that they increased the cap a bit.

Rather go with an ETF like Share Saver and pump in a minimum of R500 pm into it - over the long term you'll see some pretty decent returns...

Have an investment account which meets the average monthly balance of R10 000 or more
Keep the above in mind, for 1500 points you need one account to be 10k. For 2500 points you need one account to have more than 50k.
You cannot have 8k in one investment and 2k in another, you will not get the points in that case.

I just signed up for a share builder account. I logged into online banking and it's listed there. Does it qualify as well? I called the ebucks call centre and they reckon it doesn't.

Thanks

That is a valid account to earn ebucks, BUT the rule are:

Do you have an FNB Share Investor or Share Builder account with a minimum cumulative trade value of R15,000 in the last 6 months?

Mmmmm, so, I think that rule says ... you will earn that points only after 6 months having that account above 15K.

I just hope the ebucks rules in Oct 2015 doesn't change a lot as in Oct 2014 !!!

Hey all..

How do I go about doing this?

Have an Overdraft Facility of R2 000 or more, a Temporary loan, a Revolving loan or a Personal loan

HI Jared176, I assume you want to know how do you earn ebucks on the above

The best advice I have for you, log into the ebucks site, click on CALCULATOR. In there, it shows what you qualify for and what you need to quality for more, to get to a higher level

Question to the guys who buy ebucks vouchers...

How does it work?

I know you log into the ebucks site, shop and buy a voucher (and get discount on the level you are), but does it get courier'd to you or do you get sms ?

Link?

Only your input is capped as far as I know, not the returns.

On topic of FNB.

Is there any way to have inContact be APP only?

Getting messages through SMS and the app is getting irritating.

On internet banking, go to your accounts, on the settings tab, there is a button "change" next to inContact.
Set it to email only to disable sms.
Do it for every account you want this changed.

But then I'll get emails?

Still a redundant duplication of the app.

That is why they have it part of their offering or proposition, sign up and indicate your willingness to receive from them or opt out and forego the benefit of earning eBucks.

Yes but I AM getting inContact and want to be signed up for it.

Maybe I should just recommend an option be added for app notifications only.

Or try and see about switching it off in the app. SMS is just so archaic...
