I just want to check up again? How do you guys pay your municipal bills and receive ebucks back on it? I have tried through e-tshwane, but that just creates a once off payment (I do not think this gives you ebucks?).

After reading the whole blog, if I can call it that, I used easy pay this month for all rates and taxes / water and lights.

This is seen I hope as online shopping (as previous guys stated). Will give feedback on the 10th when my ebucks allocation happens

Online shopping = 4% back vs if you pay it via Pick and Pay or checkers it is seen as 1% only

FNB prices for 2015/2016 change on 01JUL2015 - we normally get it about a month early?
Do you reckon there will be a change in eBucks earning rules as well?

eBucks updates were effective 1 Oct 2014, surely they wait a full year before delivering the next blow?

From Oct onwards are the new rules. I just hope the new rules are as radicle as last year. In 15 years, the rules wasn't change as much as last year's ... trust me !

Example .. I dropped from LV4 to LV1

:wtf:

With the change in interchange rates, I expect more hoops to jump through. Hoping not as I've got the new rules waxed but time will tell!

Not sure on personal, but on business the balance column will show - 5000 and available 0 if you have used your 5k overdraft.
It didn't on my personal account so I cancelled it the next day.

So I have to get a new cheque card as mine expires soon. Any way to do this without visiting the branch and stuffing up my ebucks?

They usually post it. If you have to go in to collect, I don't think that counts as a branch transaction as you're not being charged for it...

If you're on platinum then they should courier it to you. Not sure about gold.

Quick question for the guys on Platinum. When you purchase fuel do you use your CC or cheque card? Are the eBucks earn points the same when purchasing fuel with your CC or cheque? I keep getting these tiny interest amounts on my CC statement. Just wondering where they come from because I don't draw money using my CC, now do I do any "cash" related things.

Any ideas?

I use my CC for fuel. The interest charges would be from airtime or prepaid electricity bought using credit card. April will be the first month where I only used cheque account for prepaid electricity, so I can confirm for you when I get my next CC statement within the next few days. I would expect to see none of those little interest charges on it.

PetroCard would also incur interest from day 1 of purchases made with it.
