According to me you went under 15K and you wont get that ebucks points.

I went a few times below 9k for the fee saver and was charged. There is a flag which says gone under with every transaction or not I think. Once the flag is triggered, banking fees get refunded according to that.

Example. I went under 9K at 10:10am and went back above 9K at 10:15am (in the same day), and I paid banking fees for that month.

Think the best would be, look at your ebucks calculator and let us know. I am putting money on it, you wont get points because you went under 15k

It only happened this morning so it will most likely be with next months ebucks

Mmmm, that is true. That is what I was trying to say to a few guys ... it doenst help you have that and don't use it. As per the rules, you need to use a %.

I read the other day a thread also on here ... ebucks is about how to make a bank more money, remember that. That is why I was trying to say in a few previous posts, avoid going into debt to make more money

Jip, double checked mine aswell quickly.

Ok ... if you live in tswhane or jhb ...pay your bills via easy pay using your CC. I did and it got rewarded 4% back. So from now on, easy pay for rates and taxes and water and lights.

Hope to hear other guys stories aswell how to get more ebucks.

And ps, I also bought airtime, so there is another 15% back

Overall I was rewarded 25% more (vs previously compared) in ebucks just by that two simple moves.

Downgraded from platinum to gold last month. Now my rewards profile is calculated using wealth/private client scoring system.

Anybody else having this problem?

What is the advantage of linking your Ct card to your ebucks account?

Well, it not linking your CC to your ebucks account. If you earn ebucks, you can use your CC or Cheque Card. How I see it, why use my money while I can use the banks money and invest my own money at the same time.

That's a good move so how many eBucks you are earning now and how many you are expecting this month? Congrats in advance

21,500 points earned this month. Will get an extra 1,000 next month for not doing any transactions at a branch for 6 months. So I'm pretty much comfortably at L5 for the foreseeable future unless something changes in October...

Well, I am on level 5 for a second month now after the new rules in Oct (and I was on LV5 lol), that dropped me to level 1 and working my way back up.

Last month I got 4700eb (the highest every in my ebucks history) and this month 6650eb. I did some calculations now, it wasn't 25% more but 42% more.

So in short, all that I did different this months was to pay my utility bills via easy pay (and take note, I know some guys are struggling with easypay and cheque card payments.), so if you have a credit card, try it. Quick and easy. And that is seen as online shopping, lol. 4% back. And I helped someone with air time aswell.

I don't understand why you guys go bonkers over the points. If you hit 18000 ... just keep it there. You can be on 18000 or 30000 points, that is level 5.

If you are above 18K points, just stick with what you are doing and you wont drop. (That is my view)

Yes you shouldn't make debt to make ebucks, but I found it very easy to get to level 5 on the new system (old one had me on level 3) and some of it includes debt I would have otherwise made with other banks or companies. The debt you go for doesn't have to be on high interest rate loans. Here's my points breakdown, total 25500.

Code:
Here's what you did in April 2015	Max points	Your points
Do all your payments and transfers during the month via our electronic channels instead of an FNB Branch	1500
1000
Spend R2000 or more on your FNB Platinum Credit Card in a calendar month	2500
2500
Have monthly debit orders going off on your FNB Platinum Cheque account	1000
1000
Have banked with FNB for 18 months or more	1000
1000
Have an Auto Payment (debit order) set up on your FNB Platinum Credit Card.	500
500
Choose to receive all your Account statements via email only	500
500
Have a Global Account with a balance greater than 1 000 (for EUR, GBD) or 1 500 (USD) or 1 600 (AUD) or 90 000 (INR) or 9 000 (CYN)	3000
3000
Have an active Tablet/Smartphone contract	1500
1500
Have an investment account which meets the average monthly balance of R10 000 or more	2500
2500
Register for inContact , allow us to communicate with you and keep your contact information up to date	500
500
Use between 10% and 90% of your credit limit during the calendar month.	3000
3000
Have an active Home Loan with us that is in good standing and with a min outstanding balance of R250 000	3000
3000
Use your FNB Platinum Credit Card to pay for your online shopping.	1500
1500
Does the value of your FNB Platinum Card swipes and Cash@Till withdrawals exceed the value of your ATM and FNB Branch Withdrawals?	1500
1500
Maintain a minimum monthly balance in your FNB Platinum Cheque Account or linked Savings Pocket of R15 000 or more	2000
1000
Have not exceeded your limit or gone into arrears on your Credit Card for six months and more	1500
1500

Keep collecting points
You can do the following to stay on Reward Level 5.
Have an Overdraft Facility of R5 000 or more and use between 10% and 100% of the facility	2000

Have a drafted and signed Will in custody with us	1000

Have a Temporary loan which you have settled in the month (within the specified period)	2000

Have a Personal loan of R5 000 or more	1500

Have an FNB Share Investor or Share Builder account with a minimum cumulative trade value of at least R15 000 over the previous six months.	1000

Swipe on international purchases using your Platinum Cheque or Credit Card (excl. cash transactions)	1500

Have a Revolving Loan that you used during the month	2000

Most of the loan-type points are ones I don't have. Home loan and smartphone (one and only, no others) are ones I consider unavoidable and therefore have them earn me ebucks. The Global account is not strictly necessary, but there's at least a different purpose to it than just the points.

Exactly Aessa. I got to level 5 just doing the basics right. I have a bond, that is the only debt is have. And I don't even have a smart device via FNB's account.

Just stick with the basics, and you will get to level 5, and you don't need to give the bank more of your hard deserved earned money !

It's called having a buffer... Say for instance you have to draw from an ATM in an emergency, now because you were borderline RL5 that transaction just cost you maybe eB6000 due to the drop down to RL4 for the month in question.
