I don't get it, the net result between those two offerings seem to be the same>

Ok ... FNB homeloans now replied.

prepaid means flexi bond or prepaid bond. If you take 1 sent out from what you prepaid, you wont get that eB points (that is the long and short)

On my side, it looks that I must use my FNB app on my phone once a month (that is the only different thing to remember).

This is such a stupid request. As well as the request to visit your Westbank online account once a month. Doesnt make sense. How does FNB benefit from you logging onto an account once a month!?!

these changes come in to effect 1 july so does that mean the first ebucks we receive on the new rules will be in august?

"Have an FNB Smart Bond that is active and in good standing"
What is this? Something different than a home loan bond?

Think the first ebucks we receive on July banking behaviour ... in August then (taking a wild guess)

Incidentally - SLOW lounge changes:

Our SLOW lounges have turned out to be so immensely popular, that we have to introduce a capacity management system to ensure that lounge volumes are not in excess of occupancy. Our aim is to provide more customers the opportunity to experience the luxury lounge. In order to achieve this, from 1 July access to all SLOW Lounges will now be limited to 90 minutes before boarding time. Should the lounge capacity be reached, FNB Private Wealth and RMB Private Bank customers will be granted preferential access, while FNB Private Clients and Platinum customers may be asked to return to the lounge once the capacity levels have reduced.

Also, visits per month cut in half, pretty much.

That whole concept was useless to me anyway, which is why I downgraded to Gold. If I want to use a SLOW lounge on the 2 or so occasions that I fly per year, then I'd rather just pay the R200 or whatever it is. The RL5 benefit and simplified (and less costly) means of getting there far outweighs SLOW lounge benefits IMO...

Where did you see smart bond ?

1.Have an active* FNB Home Loan, One Account or Single Facility with a minimum outstanding balance of R100 000, an FNB debit order or salary stop order set up on the account and no manual prepaid withdrawals in the last month

3.Your FNB Home Loan, One Account or Single Facility meets requirement (1) above and has been in good standing** for at least 12 months

Think the rule is, having a flexi bond, don't take money out, and never skipped any debit orders for at least 1 year = earn points

Use your FNB Credit Card

100% of your total monthly spend is on your FNB Gold Credit Card 4 000
Total monthly spend = Gold Credit Card spend + Gold Cheque Card spend; excludes EFTs and transfers.

Am i right that cash withdrawal from an ATM does not form part of spend? Or have i got this wrong?

Is it just me or is the free 3G data falling away?

So is it gone?

Aww bollocks... I'm down 500 points again. Re-read the homeloan section and mine's new so haven't been with them for a year yet. :(

Guess I'm gonna have to draft that will with them.

Created my excel sheets to work out my levels... Looks like I'll get by on 18500 points without having to change anything. Phew.

For PW I'm only on 16000 though so can't go up to that. Dang... the free smart contract was really looking attractive.

What are these changes to the FNB ADSL all about? It looks like I will lose my free (if on RL5) monthly 4MB ADSL.
Why FNB Why? I used this as an emergency or backup account whenever Telkom had trouble.

Look at the reward level section - the paragraph just above the one that you posted refers to 2000 points for a Smart Bond. what the heck is that?

A subset of clients engaging with the app on a regular basis, will make them familiar with the app's features, and drive future usage of mobile transactions. i.e. FNB want more clients using the app platform as an alternative to the web/online channel.

Here is my calculation for the Gold Cheque + Gold Credit Card ebucks rules from 1 July 2015. Let me know if you find any errors.

https://mega.co.nz/#!m5sEhSIa!aTrewgF6JS7_2vyEgVF7pav2Md-pUeVzsgJqPpN4A70

There will have to be some behavior changes for myself to remain on level 5. 1 good thing is that the ebucks yearly charge goes away on the credit card.
"From 1 July 2015, you will:

No longer pay an annual fee of R200 to link your FNB Gold Credit Card to earn eBucks if you hold an FNB Gold Cheque Card and an FNB Gold Credit Card; your Gold Credit Card will be automatically linked to earn eBucks."

I would be eternally great full if you made a Platinum version ;)

Yeah looks like it is gone for Gold but remains on the others. 3G seems to be gone for all of them.

Choose your level in the tabs, and then enter a 1 where you qualify

You, sir, are awesome. Thanks, hoping to get 7000 ebucks it seems. On that, I'm new to FNB an eBucks. When do I get my eBucks? Months end? I've been on eB178 for a while now, so I'm hoping they come through. Looking at transaction history, I got paid my last months eBucks on the 8th May, so I'm hoping I'll get May's eBucks on the 8th June.
