Yeah looks like it is gone for Gold but remains on the others. 3G seems to be gone for all of them.

:(

For Uncapped accounts purchased on or before the 25th of the month, the first payment is calculated pro rata for the remainder of the days remaining in the month.

For Uncapped accounts purchased on or after the 26th of the month, the first payment is calculated pro rata for the remainder of the days left in the month plus the payment for the next month.

The discounts that you qualify for may vary depending on your rewards tier for the month.

If you are an existing customer switching to Uncapped ADSL from an ADSL Bundle and have an auto top up, the auto top up will be automatically disabled.

I guess I will have to cancel my FNB Connect ADSL on my Gold account by at least the 25th of this month. No way in hell do I wish to pay for this crap. Its ok as a freebie and backup/emergency ADSL but not worth paying for. Eff that.

Ah. Have they spun it off?

Well, I contacted my insurance which is the normal FNB insurance brokers, wanted to know how can I contact the direct one. I ended up at a non FNB insurance firm that confirmed that they have changed their name. I don't want to name the other company (nou nou kom ek in trouble)

So this is quite funny, lol.

My biggest issues are the drop in % for your fuel and Checkers spend, as well as the loss of the free uncapped.

The ADSL can be worked around for a few extra randelas a month, but the Checkers earn could take quite a knock since it was usually at about 30% of the household expenditure.

Which account? It's still 15% for fuel and Checkers on Gold...

Sorry, should have worded my issue better.

Copied from the page you linked. Used to be 30% of spend I think
Checkers & Shoprite spend limits and rules
The amount on which you earn eBucks is limited to 20% of your total monthly qualifying FNB Gold Cheque and Credit Card spend or a total rand spend (on Checkers & Shoprite purchases only) of R7 000 per month, whichever occurs first.

Ok ... FNB homeloans now replied.

prepaid means flexi bond or prepaid bond. If you take 1 sent out from what you prepaid, you wont get that eB points (that is the long and short)
Not being funny but is English your first language?

What is your issue with fuel spend? Doesn't look like the 20% cap based on total expenditure has changed. I'm talking Platinum, lemme check Gold then...

Btw, when will they tell us that we are losing our dedicated Premier Bankers (those of us on Platinum who have this benefit)? Also later in June?

Flexi I think lets you just transfer in and out.
Prepaid it looks like you have to apply to transfer the money out?

Flexi:
24/7 electronic access to funds via FNB ATMs, Cellphone-, Telephone or Online Banking
Transfer any prepaid funds made to your home loan directly to your FNB account

Prepaid:
Withdraw the additional funds if required
Sounds right, the key difference between the two is that one requires human/manual intervention (Prepaid Option) whereas the other allows electronic withdrawals (Flexi Option).

What the Flexi Option offers me

Electronic access to prepaid funds on your home loan

The 40% back on fnb connect airtime seems good also.

Yup that peaked my interest as well. ok problem being that it requires a data connection....

8ta(mobile) to other networks - 75c per minute - 15% earn
100 minutes = R75.0 = 112.5 Ebucks earned = R18.75(after 40% discount voucher)
call cost = R75 - R18.75 = R56.25 for 100min = 56.25c per minute

FNB connect(to mobile) - 89c per minute + data 15c(1Mb per minute worst case) - 40% earn
100 minutes = R104 = 416 ebucks earned = R69.33 (after 40% discount voucher)
call cost = R104 - R69.33 = R34.67 for 100min = 34.67c per minute

data can be obtained much cheaper i guess - just not sure how much will be utilized per minute. is 1MB per min too much?

Urgh, just went through it quickly but looks like I am dropping from level 5 to at least 3, maybe even 2. Really hope I missed something. Have only been on level 5 for 1 month now.

FNB homeloans explained to me, flexi or prepaid (they see it as the same thing), 2 different names

Lol, what don't you get ? If you pay R5 in your bond, take R5 out, no eBucks (eb) points on the new HOMELOAN rule (points 1 to 3)

Must I explain in Zulu ?
Explain in Zulu if you must but just please proof read what you write. You said, "If you take 1 sent out". What did you send out? :whistling:

They might have said that but it makes no sense and I suspect they are wrong. As we've seen before, eBucks rules are notoriously ambiguous and FNB's own staff are often clueless about the finer points of their own rules.

Based on what Sinbad and the eskimo said, I think that eBucks won't be penalising us for withdrawing funds from a Flexi Option access bond as there is no "manual" intervention required to make such a withdrawal. Anyway, that's my view ;)
