fek, and I'm sitting here impressed with my 15k, well done!

The points thing for level 5 was all down to not using the cheque card at all(4000 points) and the stupid incontacts thing they pulled on us last month (1000 points).

On the spend amount, I have a cousin who comes from Malawi every so often. He doesn't like carrying cash so he uses the credit card I gave him and eft's the funds to me. That's the only way I could get that amount of spend

thanks for sharing, yeah i haven't used my cheque card once since going platinum.

It all depends. If you buy stuff right, you will get rewarded.

Example, if you buy something for R20K, make sure you swipe your CC vs your debit card.

Nope, the correct answer is to never use your debit card, cut it up and throw it away. Only use your cc and settle it every month.

Been using CC for three months now no issues.

They probably tried to put it through as budget.

Mine fails whenever someone says budget, because I don't have a budget facility.

Weird. That must be a bug. Cash@till is only suppose to work on a cheque card. And I'm assuming it counts towards your points?

No it doesn't get included in your spend at all.

Where do you all get this notion that it's only for cheque? Plenty of people here use it on CC.

It would be bizarre to restrict it like that.

I've been using cash like this since before FNB in my Go Banking account just via Pick and Pay instead of Checkers.

Not that I am aware of.

C@shtill is just a replacement for an ATM.
Doesn't care what account you have.

Even if it did, I would happily just pay it then because swopping cards to draw money is silly.

The supermarkets I have been to don't allow cash@till on credit card. Essentially is they allowed that it's a loan and so interest charges follow.

FNB app. Ebucks is listed as one of your accounts

I'll have a scratch there.

I've used it at three different Checkers. Never a problem and I always draw a grand at a time.

The amount is the only problem ever as they don't provide it from the till and have to request it.

So I had my daughters birthday party on Saturday and the place accepted snapscan - which would have meant I could pay the balance and it would be seen as an online txn. However after trying the full amount I discovered that there is a limit of R5k per transaction... And then tried that and again that didn't work. I couldn't hang around as it was super hot so paid it with my cc. But they did call me back while I was driving home that they have upped my limit to R5k for the future. And apologized for the inconvenience.

So - this is just a warning for using snapscan for larger transactions.... Make sure you don't get capped! Of course it does depend on your account status as to how much would actually be an "online txn" too
