Is there any way to camouflage an EFT into an online purchase?

I mean by using a service that does an EFT on my behalf but I pay them with my credit card?

I mean an independent service that the vendor is not aware of.

Specifically thinking of school fees and related services which I burn 5k a month on.

^ I don't see how that could work. I assume the reason that places like Easypay can do business is that they take a cut in the form of transactions fees to cover the credit card transactions fees as well as make a profit. So unless your school is willing to accept a lesser amount that gets EFTed to them, it's not going to happen.

You done good son, i taught you well :p

Nice way to get 40% off anywhere ... ;)

That AVR goes for R11k (admittedly this years model though they are 99% the same), picked it up for R7,000 (which was already a bargain) which cost R4,200 in eBucks. Had enough over to buy a new PSU for my gaming PC and an Aeropress.

For sure.

I'm thinking along the lines of places like Bid or Buy that use that EasyEFT or whatever it's called.

They have a pretty decent home entertainment section

I know they have the usual Samsung combo type stuff but don't recall seeing any real stand alone kit there.

Then again I only look for that stuff when I'm in need.

Now if you tell me I can get B&W speakers for -40% then I'll be there tomorrow but I figure that's highly unlikely.

Does anyone know if cashing/depositing a foreign currency check (gift from relatives overseas) will negatively affect ebucks rewards points?

Ebucks travel - Anyone know if you get the same discount whether you buy flights and car rental at the same time as opposed to separate?

Yeah true. I was talking TVs really. Not real boutique/high end stuff.
However, you can get enough of your daily stuff from Makro that you can stash that money into a call account and then draw it to buy the nice kit when you have enough saved up?

Call up the School, and find out if they have a card machine? Change your payment method to bi-annually and go swipe your CC at the school twice a year? At lease you will get some benefit then, as apposed to nul via EFT...

No.

I wanted to buy a R7,000 AVR from an AV shop in Gauteng and of course eBucks don't work there.

My Checkers spend is already over the 20% max. I still buy half my stuff at Woolies because if this.

So ... I bought the AVR via EFT (only option) and bought R7,000 Checkers vouchers at 40% off.

Over the next two months I'll still buy from Checkers up to the 20% max and then shift my Woolies purchases to the Checkers vouchers.

I'll earn slightly less eBucks for two months but recoup the R7,000 via the vouchers.

:D

Well fsck...I dropped to lvl 2 :(

Upgraded to Platinum and I've only been with FNB for 5 months >.< I'll get to lvl 4 next month though if my calculations are correct.

Already tried that...they actually want a debit order and I forced their hand into EFT's there.

Gold has a limit of R3k for online spend.

Those using Easypay and Zapper please keep that in mind, as both count as online.

Depends on reward level, and whether you swipe your cc or cheque card.
If cc on reward level 5, it will be the swipe rate of 2%. You can earn 4% on level 5 if you pay it online using easypay.
