Snort, dropped to lvl 4 as I didn't do any app transactions whilst I was out of the country... Lucky I bought my Makro vouchers already.

Woop! I'm back on lvl 3 (went down to lvl 2 last month).

Would have been lvl 4 if I didn't use my cheque account for swipes by accident /facepalm

"Do you have a Revolving Loan of at least R10 000 and use between 10% and 100"

Is that a good idea and how can I use it without paying through my arse for it? :p

On Platinum. Haven't been with FNB for a year yet so those points aren't available :(

I just did the global account thing instead.

Rather take out a temp loan of R300. R39 fee. Pay it back within +/- 30 days

What is the fee saver option?

For existing FNB clients who had that before on platinum, if your cheque account balance is above R9000 (that rule changed to R15000 in July), you don't pay any current account fees.

If you never had that option, you must now have R75K in your current account not to pay current account fees.

Thanks for the debate on the swipe/debit order discussion. I have a feeling the dstv one will be a debit order like the ISP one mentioned earlier in the thread.. and thus no eB earn. Will see what the forms from the school looks like. Hopefully it's just a once a month card-less deduction which will mean I earn eB at at least the swipe rates.

PS. woop woop. ebucks in for me too. Let's go book that car rental!

DSTV tip for next year: if you pay for the whole year upfront before the subscription increase (I think around March), they give you one month for free, and the other 11 months at the previous year's rate. Plus you can pay it at a Checkers money market counter on your ct card and earn ebucks.

Or ... you could stop poisoning your mind and save the whole DStv subscription fee altogether!

Does anyone else battle with the Home Owners Insurance?

I received a mail months back about bonus points if updated, and sent through. I even received an acknowledgment that was received by FNB. Next month? Nothing!

The following month I noticed Home Owners still wasn't not on and mailed the banker the proof of acknowledgement - nothing!

Today I get my eBucks and notice I've dropped down a level and sitting on 30%. I go through to see where I dropped and it's the Home Owners insurance again!

Everything said, think this is my biggest payday yet - and only because I upgraded to Platinum last month. Got just under R700 worth of vouchers for the month.

And how does this work?

Spend R3 000 or more on your FNB Private Clients Credit Card in a calendar month (excl. EFTs and transfers) 3000

I received 1500 points, so it's not a case of all or nothing. But the main thing is that I am easily over R3,000 every month on petrol alone, let alone anything else

No, it's not all or nothing.
Fire up ye olde ebucks calculator to see what thresholds you need to reach to get higher points

First time I'm getting the points for having my car with wesbank. Although it is a division of wesbank. Hopefully FNB finally came to their senses.

Got these points last month. Mine is with Nissan Finance, a division of Wesbank.

I'm with Toyota Finance which uses Wesbank. Even the web site looks the same. I logged in today to see if I'll get those points next month. Let's see ...

At 22,000.

On Gold or Platinum?

edit: Found it, so no issue my side on platinum getting the 500 points:
"Have up-to-date Home Owners Comprehensive Insurance Cover on your active FNB Home Loan, One Account or Single Facility**"

However I have two home loans so not sure if the older one is up to date according to their records.

For 2 months in a row now I starting getting:

"Log in to WesBank Online at least once a month* 1000"

My vehicle finance is via Honda Finance, so it did not initially qualify for the Wesbank perks. Still don't get the other 1000 points for having vehicle financing with Wesbank/Honda Finance.
