Can anyone confirm that Cash @ Till doesn't affect my eBucks reward level points?

I'd like to make use of Cash @ Till on my Cheque card.

Thanks,

Patiently waiting to see how much I earn this month. hoping to break through 10 000 ebucks :erm:

Look, that sounds kind of high, maybe it's for fees not an interest charge. To rack up R250 odd in interest charges you would have had to have done a transaction for 10 grand or so, something that would draw interest from day 1. Post a screenshot of your statement if you are still perplexed.

So FNB came back and said this...

Please be advised that in order for you not to be charged interest you are required to pay the full balance. When your statement closed on 2016/01/07 the amount that was due was R3038.90 and you paid R2500 which attracted interest as well as the cash transactions.

1. Why is the 7th relevant? I always need to pay the minimum by the 1st and therefore I always settle in full at the end of every month. So do you want to tell me if I generate R2500 in the first week of every month I'm going to be charged for it?

2. That means I have a balance of R538.90 after the payment...so surely the interest should come off that only? In which case 18.85% is R101.60 and that's per annum, not even for the single month. Surely the interest is calculated per day anyway not even for a full month?

I've responded with pretty much the above because it still seems very dodgy to me.

^^Wish my amount due was R3038.90, I'd settle twice a month :D

Well that's my problem it's usually much more than that. It must have generated R3000 odd between the 1st and 7th which is bizarre that they would then charge me on that.

I bet it's because their systems and **** were delayed at the beginning of January.

I have now set the auto-payment to the Full Statement balance instead of the the Full Balance. Let's see if that somehow makes them happy.

Cash@Till is something I have yet to do... I'm afraid that if I ask for R1000 using cash@till, some nefarious persons might notice this and rob me on my way home.

Better chance than them seeing you withdraw at the ATM or in the branch

A lot of Checkers and Pick and Pays don't allow very big withdraws. Take note

Don't know if anyone knows, or cares, or whether it has been mentioned before but seems like lotto is back on online banking, not just the app.

Lotto has been on the app again for some time now.

And you can use ebucks to buy tickets :D

The most important part is back... You can play 10 draws at a time!!!

Thank you thank you thank you!

So your chances are now down to...

I play one board x 10 draws... When the draws are over I play that same numbers for 10 draws again... Wash and repeat.

I'm not gambling away thousands of rands and I'm using spare change to do it. Others waste their money on beer and cigarettes. I waste it on something where I still have a chance of getting something back and possibly change my life and that of my close family for good.
