Tips to Boost your eBucks

are you using from the 1st to the last day of the month? Tbh, have never manually checked my Checkers spend vs rewards. Will do so when I have time.

eBucks says my "Checkers & Shoprite qualifying spend" was R737.00. I did not spend a lot at Checkers, but let's see what happened.

Actual statement spend I believe is:

Wed 31 Dec 2014 CHECKERS CAPE GATE BRACKENFELL : R448.64

Tue 30 Dec 2014 CHECKERS CAPE GATE BRACKENFELL : R89.98
Mon 15 Dec 2014 CH COBBLE WALK DURBANVILLE : R97.94
Sat 13 Dec 2014 LIQUOR STORE CAPE GATE : R 167.97
Wed 10 Dec 2014 CHECKERS DURBANVILLE : R381.11

It would seem the eBucks calculation did not take into account the R448.64 on 31 December.

Would that then be part of the next months allocation?

Thanks I just checked and FNB have fsckd me! I've got 15500 pts which puts me on lvl 3. The reason I didn't get lvl 5 is they denied me the spend 10%-90% of your credit facility (3000pts). They did this by upping my credit limit (have it set to auto increase). That seems like a dodgy move by the bank, can I decrease it via the online portal and lock it to a certain amount?

I'm with you on that, I guessing we going to query this with FNB. I believe I spend 60% of my credit limit.
I have 15000 pts which is level 3. Was level 4 last month. Was expected to be on level 5 18k points exact.

Same **** is happening to me, also got 1000 instead of 4000. It's like they ware trying to screw us over and not getting the maximum level.
I have been banking with them for over 20 years but the last 3 months has changed my view on them 180 degrees!!!

Could you please check something for me? According to the call centre lady I just spoke to, one suddenly "has to" draw something from cash@till to qualify for the full point allocation, which was obviously not the case before December as I got 4000 for the whole of last year basically without drawing anything.

So, could you please check when you dropped to 1000 of 4000, and what your drawing behaviour is?

Mine just updated. 18 000 spot on again third month in a row, Level 5 retained.

I got 1000 of 4000 for this. I don't understand. I made zero cash withdrawals.

The calculator explains it as follows:

I should certainly be the bottom option, not the highlighted one?

Same request to you. And to anybody else who can provide input

I received 1000 points this month (Jan for December), 1000 last month (December for November) and 4000 the month before that (November for October).

I used zero cash facilities at an ATM or Cash@Till in any of these months.

I would query it, works off a calendar month.

Finally I have been allocated the correct points and I'm on level 5 : 26620 eBucks earned for the month

Are you on Private?
How much does one have to spend to earn that amount of eBucks
I struggle to earn more than 10000 eBucks on reward level 5 and that's with a spend of between R10,000 and R20,000 on my credit card and I max the online spend as well

Yes private
Additional card with healthy spend
Lots of petrol, lots of checkers + online transactions.
Also december is higher than normal spend, will normalise to around 18000 ebucks.

Same here.. However, this is interesting:

Only swiping card is suppose to yield 4000 points, which it clearly does not.

Aye. Now the question becomes which page is incorrect. Was the 4000 points allocated before an error (which was allocated for the entire 2014...), which was fixed in December? Is the 1000 an error? Or... is it all a conspiracy to prevent us from gaining the rewards we rightly deserve!?

My wife's (gold) account has done the same this month - also means she missed out on RL5.

On a side note, I'm still waiting for my Ebucks to reflect, but the Shoprite/Checkers ebucks have already shown - anyone else got this?

me too, others should reflect by tomorrow morning (it has in the past followed on occasion a similar pattern)

I used to be awarded points 1000 every month... I never draw any cash.
This month I decided to draw R500 Cash @ till. Got awarded the full 4000 points.
You need to used cash@till to be awarded the additional 3000 points.

Now on 20 000 points .... website has not updated to show I am on level 5 (yet)

I believe it is a conspiracy, they where losing to much money on the old rules and that is why they changed it "for the better" system now.

This month you mean Jan or do you mean in Dec?

My status has been downgraded to RL4 as of this morning. It looks like RL4 rewards rules will apply to my December 2014 spend (at least it was a low spend month for me). Have about eB4000 less than prior months coming my way once they award me those points :(. I'll have to double check in Feb (when they calculate again and upgrade me to RL5) that RL5 then applies to January 2015 spend!!

The damage has been done in terms of my transgressing the rules of the eBucks Rewards gods so no point crying over spilt milk. Just do my utmost to ensure I get back to RL5 next month!

No cash withdrawals AND using cash@till at least once will yield 4000 points.

I was told this last month when I queried my points, did cash@till in December and got the full 4000 points this month.

Website says: "20 000 points collected in Jan 15" (meaning that I jumped through all their hoops during Decemeber to earn my 20 000 points)
Website now says I am on Level 5.... 40% Discount. Time to buy some vouchers :)
