no you need to use the revolving loan , i don't currently get points for the revolving loan , because it just sits there.

R40 a free a month for using it

MY interest rate on it is 19% lol
Woah that is expensive!

Sad that it doesn't count if you don't use it.

Young Professionals have it the worst

Cool - keep us updated please

Out of interest, I think that holders of the young professionals accounts will experience the biggest decrease in eBucks earn. It is unlikely that they qualify for a platinum credit card and therefore will likely be stuck on rewards level 1.

I'm starting to think gold may be the better value proposition if you do not use the slow lounges.

I think I just need to abandon using my discovery card and switch to using my private clients credit card for daily use. That will get me to level 5 and I'm pretty sure the ebucks in that will outperform any discovery cash back?

I agree - I consider myself pretty 'Discovery' savvy - diamond, multiple products etc.
eBucks on rl5, offers significantly better value (well, for me anyways :-))

I'm diamond atm but unlikely to maintain it given the lack of carry over. 100 percent back on smart device in ebucks will exceed my pick n pay monthly smart shopper Multiply...

The 100% back, do you get it as ebucks, or do you just not get billed for the device at the end of the month if you on l5?

Ebucks
But its as good as cash because I can use ebucks to buy electricity

you receive it in ebucks, but in my opinion its really hard to get to level 5 on private.

I'm 2000 points away. Can get that with cc spend.

Yip its worth it. I need to find 2000 points somewhere for me to be on level 5. Dont have a home loan, and don't have 50k laying around to put in savings pocket

I might do that, but I;m still sceptical on what the catch is. And the will only gives 1k points? Hope they lower the savings pocket limit

The catch is paying them 3% of your estate as you're appointing them as executors

there is a discrepancy between plat eBucks .pdf -> https://www.ebucks.com/web/images/documents/infographics/FNB-platinum-rewards.pdf

Have Debit Orders going off your FNB Platinum
Cheque Account*:
• 1 or more - 500 points
• 6 or more - 1000 points

versus https://www.ebucks.com/web/eBucks/earn/fnb-platinum-2014.jsp

Have monthly debit orders going off on your FNB Platinum Cheque account:
One to six debit orders - 500 points
Seven or more debit orders - 1000 points

Seems to have been fixed now

I'm using 7 day notice and Share Saver. Savings pocket was only useful for the points before, now it's useless.

The interest earned on a proper investment account far outweighs a few points. It's a no brainer that you shouldn't be investing 15k into a savings pocket. I'll keep the bank your change though, that's useful...
