FML  At 17,000 reward points it looks like I am dropping down to RL4 for the coming 30 day cycle. Two mistakes 1) withdrew lots of cash from ATM 2) moved a large sum of money temporarily into my home loan which made me lose my home loan 3000 reward points due to dropping below 250k owing :(

Argh... just dawning on me that this effects everything and will cost me a few hundred bucks in rands to the lower eBucks earn percentages!

Where exactly did you see all of this? I'll wait for tomorrow, should see mine then.

On eBucks.com. As the others have said, it shows one's points that are going to be awarded any day now and also the Reward Level you will be at for the upcoming 30 days (i.e. from the 8th to the 7th of next month approximately).

How the mighty have fallen, dropping from RL5 to RL4 is painful indeed :( My foolish blunder will cost me at least eB4000 come this time next month!

How does this one work?
"Do all your payments and transfers during the month via our electronic channels instead of an FNB Branch | 1500 | 500"

I didn't go to a branch, so is this split into 500 point chunks for cellphone, online and mobile app banking now?

The Global Account provides a nice buffer. I lost points for a low cheque account balance (not really sure when because I did not let it go low) and no longer have the international-swipe points (which I wasn't supposed to have anyway), but the 3000 points means I ended up dropping only 500.

Do you just keep $1500 in there?

Does it earn interest? I don't know what more the global account does other than keep you on level 5?

1020 euro for now. Interest is negligible (6 euro-cent or such). Level 5 was a good incentive to open it, but longer term it'll be a holiday trip savings pocket of sorts.

I've gone up to 24,000 points by adding the savings pocket with R15k (I think), call account with R10k and Euro account with €1,000 and filed my will with them. In addition some debit orders started going off as well. A couple of other changes as well. 6,000 points above the required 18,000 should be a decent buffer. Used to be level 1 before the recent changes and level 2 since it. So I went out of my way to get to 5. Well worth it imo.

Will be buying a new carpet cleaner next week. :D

Congrats. That should keep you on level 5 until they change the conditions which should be a long time from now.

For the benefit of other MyBB'ers, here is my breakdown to get to 24,000. Wasn't that difficult. Oh I also got a PS4 :D, kinda pays for itself ...

Some of the points are a bit weird but I won't complain, they kinda make sense I suppose:

Does the value of your FNB Platinum Card swipes and Cash@Till withdrawals exceed the value of your ATM and FNB Branch Withdrawals?

They are all 0 in my case. Must be a great or equal test.

Use your FNB Platinum Credit Card to pay for your online shopping.

I have a US based hosting account going off on my credit card, guess that is it. Last month I bought some accessories for my new Z3 but I got these points before that and I hardly ever buy anything online.

The points I didn't get.

I'm with SA Homeloans, not going to go through the hassle to move my home loan (being a partner in a company makes me "self employed" and you have to jump through mega hoops to get a home loan approved.)

Revolving loans are just evil accounts.

Found it:
"Use our electronic channels instead of an FNB Branch; use our electronic channels instead - they're convenient and secure:
No branch transactions in the last month 500
No branch transactions in the last three months 1 000
No branch transactions in the last six months 1 500"

So last month I had 0 for this, makes sense now. Never going to a branch again.

Mine just updated. 18 000 spot on again third month in a row, Level 5 retained.

Does the value of your FNB Gold Card swipes and Cash@Till withdrawals exceed the value of your ATM and FNB Branch Withdrawals?

I got 1000 of 4000 for this. I don't understand. I made zero cash withdrawals.

The calculator explains it as follows:

I should certainly be the bottom option, not the highlighted one?

I got 1,500 of a maximum of 1,500. Why is your maximum 4,000? I'm on platinum.

What calculator is this?
