Tips to Boost your eBucks

I did surprisingly well (for me) this month on my Checkers spend:

GOLD EB REWARDS - CHECKERS&SHOPRITE
4 013.00

Also dropped a RL this month. Banking behaviour was different in January due to not having extra munnies.

I climbed an RL (3 to 4) and missed 5 because I didn't read the rules properly :(

Next month I should be on 5.

I've changed my shopping behaviour since being on RL5. All groceries and booze I try to get from Checkers. Not always as it's further away and petrol costs ... From the end of this month my municipal and Telkom bills will go through Easypay.

Add it all up and it'll be at least R1,000+ a month. Add the 40% voucher discount and it's a new game or gadget or whatever every month (or two if it costs more).

Btw when shopping at Kalahari or Makro, to see what you can afford:

((eBucks / 10) * 1.6667) + coupon = Rands

Or Ebucks / 10 / 0.6 = Rands

ps. I am sure someone else will come up with an even better formula, like: Ebucks / 6 = Rand value

Challenge accepted ;)

Yours shows how much you'll pay for the voucher. And don't you mean * 0.6?

Mine shows what you can shop for at Kalahari/Makro.

eBucks * 0.16667 + coupon = Rands

Edit: nevermind :o

Easiest is it's 25% for all Checkers purchases.

Secondly, EasyPay doesn't count as Checkers.

Well still only have my checkers ebucks earn for the month thus for, nothing else, assume I will have it by the 11th.
At least the points level are in, still level 5 with 20500 points, not that I expected anything else since most of my points are passive.

No mine actually show what you can shop for. Same as yours.

Example:
6000 eBucks (or R600 worth of eBucks) will give you a R1000 voucher.
6000 / 10 = 600 / 0.6 = R1000
Just like that, 6000 eBucks / 6 = R1000

That is if you want to see how much you will save on the items you buy from Checkers yes, but the above formula is if you want to see how much you can buy from Makro or with your 40% discount if you look at your current eBucks balance.

"Hurry! Offer ends 17th February 2015"

Does this mean that the up to 40% discount ends in a week?
Previously the discount was only on a few selected items.

Yup, just came here to post the same thing.

FNB, don't sell something you can't keep on selling - you're only shooting yourself in the foot.

I really hope not, but it might. Maybe they had the offer there to boost the adoption of eBucks?

Will be very displeased if that is the case.

Do you guys know when the eBucks billing cycle begins and ends? Is it from the beginning of the month to the end? Just trying to work out how I earned R465 worth of eBucks. I'm very pleased, but it is much higher than I expected to earn. Reward level 3.

Interestingly, the eBucks deposits into my account have absolutely nothing to do with what is displayed on that summary page showing you your earn.

Received my ebucks and noticed many online credit card transactions did not attract the 4% in ebucks - namely, 2x huawei tablets at kalahari and one nitecore torch, all paid costing R3700. Ebucks reflect online credit card purchases for R140.... Reconcile your statements guys - the system seems fraught with glitches...

aah ffs the 40% discount on everything ends 17th Feb?!!?!?!?!?!?!

Then it will go back to only like makro vouchers ect. I currently want to use it on Hirch or Tafelberg vouchers /sigh

Nice... Dropped down to level 3. The definitely made it harder to maintain lvl 5 without investing and/or saving

I've given up on my quest for RL5 cos the requirements are impractical for me personally.
RL4 requires me to do things I don't want to, so I'm giving it "the finger" as well.
RL3 will get me back a good portion of banking fees ... I guess that will have to suffice.

Damn, I should have signed up for Fee Saver :(

I'm still on level 2, mainly because I don't have a credit card. Should probably just get one that will push me up to RL3.

Have also considered a smart device but I don't have the need for one right now.
