Just to clarify, if you are on RL5 for FNB connect adsl can you apply and get the R399 discount on a month to month basis? Obviously should I drop to another RL for any particular month I would not want to pay and thus not need the service for that month. So is it possible to get the discount on a month to month basis or do you have to sign up for a contract duration? Thanks

It's month to month, you can cancel up to the 25th. I just did that yesterday as I dropped to RL4 so that 6 Mbps account would cost R80. I just have the account for backup, never use it.

Got to say I have a different approach as I think that this account is brilliant.

I use it as the primary account on my router. Why? Because since I no longer work from home, Most of the traffic now is YouTube, Netflix etc. And using this account, it's "free". I save my Vox account for the midnight downloads and for when the FNB account is slow... And this is on a 20mb line.. Some may say it's silly. But I keep the line speed because I can do 40odd gb between 00:05 and 05:55 ;-)

I'm piggybacking off our company capped account for free so don't need another. But I'll sign up again next month when I'm back on RL5, a backup is always handy.

It is month to month but there used to be some silly rule that said if you cancel you can't re-instate the account. You are allowed to downgrade for a month however.

I think this rule to prevent the very thing you are asking about, should the client in question drop a level or two. Not sure if it is actually enforced though.

I'm using my cheque account to pay my rent every month as a scheduled payment, but use my CC for all swipes. Will I get the rewards points, or do I need to set up that rent payment on my CC?

If you pay with your CC, you will pay interest. I would say leave the scheduled payment on your cheque account

So is it of any use phoning the "International Travel Desk" I absolutely hate doing this stuff on the phone.

Reason I ask is that we are planning a family holiday in 2017 and I was just checking things ahead of schedule but the flight deals don't seem all that great and it also doesn't seem to be subtracting my 40% either.

Just says "you could be getting 40%" off while I should be getting 40% off.

It's not a swipe so it won't count for anything either way.

Just got a FNB credit card recently. So now I have a cheque card and credit card on my plat account and have seen this thread but never really checked it out. 7170 posts...I just cant read through that much to catch up. How do I start boosting my ebucks level etc?

Cheers

Can you use a makro virtual voucher along with cash to pay for an item?

Any way to confirm if my Makro vouchers have credit remaining on them, without checking in store?

I just bought a voucher for R1500 but looking through my SMS history I'm sure I may have another I've not used.

Dont the virtual vouchers expire, unless you redeem them for physical vouchers?
