So someone made a purchase with my CC this morning at 5AM. Comair Ltd. I'm guessing its maybe a Kulula/British Airways thing.

Had to report to the fraud department and cancel my card. Now have to go to checkers to draw some cash.

FML.

Why is it thats flights are always booked when cards stolen? Fraudsters Jetsetters?

The irony with that is that if it's flight tickets, it's very easy to catch the fraudster. Usually these okes buy electronics or similar that's untraceable.

Online Shopping Discounts
Just checking whether online payments for accounts such as DSTV, TV Licence, Post Office, Municipal Rates, etc qualifies as "online payments" and thus receives eBucks discounts?

Q: What do you guys do when you need to withdraw large amounts (R2000+) of money?

Ive found that cash @ till doesnt really work, because they simply dont have that type of money to give you? Only option in to go to the ATM? :/

It counts towards ebucks. You don't get discount per se, you receive 4% back in ebucks on reward level 5

I remember one guy here said he used to phone the store manager in advanced, and let them know he was coming to withdraw X amount

They normally give me up to R1000.
I just take that and then proceed to the next till :p

Yup. I have to fill out a leave application form for the process of getting cash@till.

The Checkers other staff think I am from the IT department or something, because have been lurking around the store so long

Hmmm, i am not quite sure I want someone (possibly more than 1 person) to know that I want to withdraw a large amount of money :/

Won't it be easier in the long run to just open an account at a different bank to transfer money to an draw cash out of?

The point of this is to save money and earn ebucks.
I usually withdraw cash while shopping so there's not much effort involved anyway.

Have you done the calculation to see if an ATM withdrawal will drop your Reward Level?
You might be able to sneak in an ATM withdrawal and not drop any level if you typically exceed the RL points for your level.

If you draw more via cash@tills you will get some points, but not all the points

Indeed!
And for me personally, once I've passed having the CC for > 1 year, I'll have enough RL points in the bag to ignore the Cash@Till rule altogether and just use an ATM whenever I feel like.
...Gold FTW :)

EDIT:
Ah, wait... but by then FNB will move the goal posts again!

Adding an overdraft seemed to have messed up my affordability, I need a smartphone to reach top tier but unable to pass affordability, even the cheapest phone is unaffordable. :erm:
