How are you missing RL5? I'm checking and I can't find a reason.

Haven't been with FNB for more than 18 months.

I don't spend more than 10k a month on my card.

Don't have a home loan or vehicle loan with FNB/Wesbank.

etc etc...I don't understand what you're asking? There are many ways of not reaching it.

Best to post your "how I got this" screenshot from the eBucks website showing what points you scored and what you missed.

Is this on Gold? Someone in know is similar to what you describe and I helped her get to RL5 in six weeks.

I'm still having no luck understanding this FNB connect uncapped discount, I'm on eBucks RL4 yet after a month on uncapped I'm still 0%

No offence, but overdraft abuse should be one of the last things you link into, if you missing RL5 by a select few points. On RL3 there is far better things to do, that doesnt cost money, and you should look at those first to get to RL4 before spending money, or making debt, to go up in levels.

So true !

1) Get a R10k 32day notice deposit or tax-free deposit. (takes some saving, but this is a good start)
2) Add scheduled transfer of R500/month into it. (easy bonus points to the above, and some saving for "oh-sheet" moments, especially on the tax-free deposit, where you can pull out money in less than 7 days with a bit of penalty)

I would start with that if I were you.

I have the 32day Notice Flexy Deposit account and R500 transfer to it, but not on R5k yet :p

Just bought a house, so R10k isn't lying around any time soon :( lol

True, and with a house its better to put extra money lying around into the bond 1st, much bigger saving than the notice deposit.

I am lucky in that, when I got my house, FNB gave a very good interest rate so I took the bond with them.

You should at least try to move the bond to FNB, and have them give you a slightly better rate for giving them the business.

Cash @ Till

Do your FNB Premier Card swipes and/or Cash@Till withdrawals exceed your ATM and FNB Branch withdrawals? YES - 1500 points

Is at least 25% of your total monthly spend on your FNB Premier Credit Card? YES - 4000 points (100% spend is via CC).

Hi guys,

With the above 2 rules - what happens if you try and draw Cash @ Till from Spar but they insist you use a CHEQUE card and make a purchase. Does this cause you to drop a reward level (on this rule) or not?

e.g. If I had to withdraw / buy a small item on the CHEQUE card (to allow me to use Cash @ Till) would it force me in to the 75%-99% bracket @ 2000 points or would I still retain my 4000 points as it's a Cash @ Till transaction?

Nope. there's no problem with you using your cheque card to withdraw cash.
None of the supermarkets will allow you to use your credit card to withdraw unless you make a purchase.

Even if they force you to perform a small purchase to make use of Cash @ Till?

I think at Spar it's a minimum R10 purchase.

On a side note I see i've been approved for Private Client status. Is it worth it to take the jump from Premier?

PnP does Cash@Till (aka Cashback) on Credit Cards too pending approval from bank. I've done this with FNB credit card (previously only worked on debit card). It will show up as two transactions(cash and goods separate). Not sure on doing without purchase tho.. I always do it when buying something

So a friend paid R6100 into my account a couple of days ago via cash deposit.
It says that the service fee is R100.65 on my account. WTF??? Should I pay the service fee or him since he made use of that method of payment?
Does this service fee now affect my eBucks earn for the month?

Service fee is the amount it cost you for him to make the cash deposit in your bank account.

Yes it cost YOU money of someone pays in physical cash in your account ,pretty crap but all banks charge for this.

It does not affect your ebucks.
