I'm considering upgrading to Premier because I'm knocking my head on the Gold limits (especially the online one). I can get 17500 points according to Premier rules, but I obviously don't want to leave Gold RL 5 for Premier RL4. Which is why I would like to know how they interpret this rule:

Your FNB Premier Cheque or Credit Card Account has been open and active* for three years or more

My FNB Gold account has been open for almost 4 years, but if I were to upgrade, then would my FNB Premier account be considered "new" in terms of this rule, and I therefore would not get the points? I'm also not too jazzed about the fact that I'm cutting it so close to the buffer

Is this related to the overdraft or revolving loan where you have to move 20% between the accounts?

None of the mentioned accounts. It is part of investing. Look for fixed flexi investment account. That quality to get eB points for a balance over 10K

Friday I fly. Will be visiting slow lounge! I better still be entitled to free visits. On Premier. Can anyone confirm?

I confirm the slow lounge is awesome :p

Still waiting for fnb to refund me for being double billed for my visits :(

I got billed then refunded) ,then a few days later billed again with no refund.

On another note, in November my CC interest rate was 17.2%. It is now 19.2%!
Wtf! It went up twice in this period. Only thing I've changed is buy everything on CC an day it back at end of month. Can this negatively affect my interest rate?

Your rate is linked to prime ,rates are up by 2%.

So if I switch Incontact from Email to SMS is that good enough to update my details?

Rather wait for the new Rules which will probably be effective from 1 July 2016 to make sure you will be able to maintain your rewards level on Premier.

Yes, as far as I know it refers to your account with FNB, not a specific type of account.

Does anyone know how additional card holders qualify for Slow lounge?
I'm a premier card holder. My wife has an additional card (linked to mine) with her name on it.
Do we each get 2 free visits (including guests) per month?

You pay interest???

On the page of interest ... I was charged interest this month and I don't know why.

I paid the account in full when the date was the due date. (As I do monthly)
No funds was moved manually in or out from the CC account

Could there be another reason ?

accidental cash@till with CC?

Oh yeah you guys are right. Sorry, I remember drawing at an ATM and I emailed them asking WTF just to find out that I was wrong. :P

I think you pay a service fee of R57 just for that type of transaction, whether it be overdraft or revolving loan.
The overdraft can only be used if your cheque account balance is 0.

Instead, I set up a revolving loan of R2000 where I move R200 to my Cheque account, then move it back the next day.

I'm liking this revolving loan idea. It seems it needs to be a loan of at least R10 000 with between 10% and 90% used during the month. Two questions:
  1. What costs are involved for a revolving loan?
  2. Does having the required loan for one night count?
