i have read a few studies in the past that too much sleep can be very bad for you in the long term. 7 - 9 hours i optimum I think. Also quality of sleep is exceptionally important. Is there anything that wakes you up at night? Does your partner snore? Time for a new matress?
Try cut out all caffeine based products, if you drink alcohol - drink less, eat healthier. A friend of mine has low iron in her blood, she gets tired very quickly. Have that and your blood pressure checked out at a GP!
And lastly, are you under significant stress, short or long term?
Do you like your job, do you find it stressful or are you developing 'I could not give a fsck' attitude towards your job?
It might not be anything physical or medical related.
The main symptom is persistent fatigue. The CDC criteria for CFS are as follows:

of a new or definite onset
not due to continuing exertion
not resolved by rest
functionally impairing
The presence of four or more of the following new symptoms:
Impaired memory or concentration
Sore throat
Tender lymph nodes
Muscle pain
Pain in several joints
Headache of a new type, pattern or severity
Sleep disturbance: difficulty falling asleep, frequent waking or waking unrefreshed
Exhaustion, lasting more than 24 hours, after normal exercise or exertion.
People with CFS also commonly report various additional symptoms to those mentioned above.
I have two kids and 3 dogs that wake me up during the nighttho waking up once or twice a night for various things has been happening for years.
My job is not exactly engaging but I enjoy it. Tho I suppose we are going thru a stressful time atm. We are changing accountants and busy selling the business. We are planning to relocate to the cape by the end of the year.

Hell, I'm just not making it through the day anymore. I feel like i'm about to pass out at my desk I'm so tired.
All my life I have gone to bed at 11ish and woken up at around 6. For the last few weeks it really feels like I need an afternoon nap. I have been going to bed at 9ish and waking up at six but the extra two hours is making no difference.
Today I had a Berocca boost with breakfast and a Supradyn recharge at about 11 and I still feel like I'm about to pass out.
What do I do?
Go to your GP, let the GP take your blood pressure, you might have low blood pressure.
Slightly low blood pressure can cause fatigue that is not relieved by sleeping. (less blood/O2 reaches the body/brain and causes tiredness)
