If applicable, smoking takes a massive bite out of your energy levels. A week or two after quitting you will feel like a new person, energy-wise.
To be honest, I think a lot of people feel this way. I'm exactly the same. Some people just need lots of sleep. I can't get by with anything less than 10 - 12 hours sleep.
lol, I have a few freinds that are taller than I am. They are ectomorphic tho, whereas I am messomorphic.

Have a look at a drug called Modafinil, it's used to treat narcolepsy and excessive daytime sleepiness.
I've tried a few when I've needed to stay awake for long periods of time and they work like a bomb without making you jittery like caffeine or ephedrine. They also have a good effect on focus and concentration.
Might want to have your Doc check your THT hormone, I have an underactive Thyroid. I went to the doctor because I felt tired no matter how many hours sleep I had the night before, I was sleeping 32 hours on some weekends.
I take eltroxin now, I don't get tired anymore, bowl of oats, gym, chicken salad for lunch and then much the same for dinner. check your carbohydrate intake after midday, try to reduce and eliminate if possible.
Hell, I'm just not making it through the day anymore. I feel like i'm about to pass out at my desk I'm so tired.
All my life I have gone to bed at 11ish and woken up at around 6. For the last few weeks it really feels like I need an afternoon nap. I have been going to bed at 9ish and waking up at six but the extra two hours is making no difference.
Do you like your job, do you find it stressful or are you developing 'I could not give a fsck' attitude towards your job?
It might not be anything physical or medical related.
