what is this CT fascination thing ffs ...... all I see in every blerry thread is CT, CT, CT ...... and Skinner, where are you getting the stats from anyway?
 
I lived all over cape town, be it the southern suburbs/northern subrub.Southern suburbs was a good place to live but as i said in a previous thread the influx of nigerians has resulted in a very high crime rate.My local paper was filled with broad daylight highjacking and stats about the crime being on the increase.

I lived in the northern suburbs but that again has had its crime increase by the amount of low cost housing and expansions of squater camps in areas like wallacedeen etc.

You asked why dont I live in Croatia?
Why would I want to, I'm VERY happy living here in london.
 
Checking the latest stats (2004) for camps bay.Compared to where I live in London which is far bigger than camps bay, we had 22 crimes over last year these were shoplifting, vandalism etc.22!! for a place 10 times the size of camps bay.

Please, give more specific details. Which areas of the northen suburbs do you know of that were affected by crimes? And what type of crimes?
("Many of them" is not an answer.)

London is a big city yes. And far bigger than Cape Town.
Well then we can assume that let's say 15 of those London murders happened in a specific suburb of London which is same size of Camp's Bay, so if you lived in that suburb, your chances of being victim of that crime are actually higher than if you lived in equally-sized Camp's Bay.

By means of above hypothetical illustration, do you get my point?

Do you know of anything better to believe?

The stats may not be accurate, but they are the best we have ATM.

Yes. And for the other years, it was like 1, 2 or 3 murders. Hardly in the order of hundreds you would like to believe.

Especially considering you even adjusted the stats in your posts to make it look better.Imagine what "adjustments" the sa gov do.

By the way I worked with Cape Gateway a few years ago and they are hopeless in getting any reliable info from.

IIRC insurance companies also release stats once a year and there stats are mostly a higher than the government stats.

Also in London, like I mentioned earlier, the people do not give warnings to kill if the citizens of London do not vote for a certain politician.
