So the obvious problem then with these games are the time zone except if you're Asian or Australian.

Well it's not my opinion basically just relaying the general feedback from what I have seen on twitter.

Personally I couldn't care less I just hope we get some gold.
 
Cycling road race. We were basically nowhere.

Currently women's hockey is losing to Ireland.

We had 3 in TDF and 2 of them went to Olympics. But yeah our riders can't win against the world's best

Maybe if SASCOC and the various sporting bodies stopped using the bodies as personal piggy banks and invested in up and coming sporting talent, this would not be an issue.

I read an editorial that the Olympics should be the pinnacle achievement for a sport featured in it...

That would exclude golf, football, rugby, tennis and rugby. Have less of an issue with skateboarding and bmx...

Having been holding out for the inclusion of squash for a while but the interference rules count against it in terms of it getting more acceptance.
 
So the Australian women destroyed the 4x100 swimming relay. New WR as well.
 
Watched the womens cycling road race and silver medal winner Van Vleuten thought she won gold when she crossed the finish line. She did not know another rider was in front who already won gold haha.

SA's Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio finished 13th. Our other rider did not finish.
