Too much wireless ISP's causing interference

Hi Guys

i'm new to this Forum. I live in Gordon's Bay , Western Cape . my problem is that since telkom is not rolling out or upgrading the exchange's in G'bay, our Max internet speed is 2mbps. so that's not a solution to my problem. so the past 2 days i've been doing a bit of research about the wireless ISP's in the area, and while i can get a good deal on wireless internet, there is a lot of latency on the line, and from my research and speaking to other users, the latency is caused by interference , there is 3 high sites in and around our area, and every damn wireless ISP uses them. Is there any work around, any other options, no telkom please.

Im also in the bay, and our street can go up to 10mb?It was only up to 4mb last year, so make a noise

I've been making a noise for a while now. haha, problem is , is it really worth it. why isnt there someone(ISP) operating on a different freq ? to get a telkom line is one thing, to keep the line up and running, and getting support when its not working. well, tht will kill you.

Unfortunately you have very few options (I have been there).

-stay with a broken 2meg line
-Rally to get the whole neighborhood involved so a company will possibly bring you fibre. http://www.lightspeed.co.za/home_users.php
-Telkom LTE but it comes with a 2 year contract, 50gig FUP and you have to be in certain areas. http://www.telkom.co.za/today/unlimited-broadband/
- Wisps http://www.wapa.org.za/coverage/request/ but they have as many problems as Telkom if not more and you can't fix them yourself so you constantly waiting for a technician.
-Move to a new area

Moving fixed my problems.

If you are considering LTE have a look at Neotel. After exhausting all the other options I caved and gave them a shot, thus far I am pretty impressed.

hi @prof.Merlin , it all depends on where exactly you are going to be, as someone mentioned earlier, the get 10 mbps from their telkom exchange. and dont get me wrong, we do have few wireless internet suppliers that will provide you with great internet. my problem is line of sight, and that is why im looking at solutions.

Amobia will frustrate you something crazy

-Expect only being able to watch 480p youtube videos on a 4 meg line.
-25kb/s to 100kb/s download speeds on torrents and 4-6 days waiting for support to come if something goes wrong.
-Power outages take out the tower when you have power and visa versa.
-Many hours on the phone to them doing technical stuff that doesn't help.
-Not actually ever getting 4mb/s speed.
-Inability to pick up the phone in the call center and when they do it will be sales.
-R2500 installation fee even though their techies say it is an easy install.
-Major packet loss so if you play games like Robocraft or Dungeon Defenders stop playing them now. Also in Dota lag spikes that go on for 30 seconds, just enough time for the enemy to kill you and run off.

Yet if you are in one of those areas this is what you have to put up with. If you can go with anyone else or you will have no hair by this time next year.

I would rather have a broken Telkom 2mb/s line then ever use Amobia again.
