I just made a backup from the one on my phone which logically should be the latest.

Cool, if I go to settings (in the market place) it says build version 3.3.11, so we can compare :p

Anyone purchase any of these items? are any of them worth it?

I'm going to buy all of them, you can always uninstall and install at a later stage. For 80 cents, may as well.

Google Currents

Google announce Google Currents, a new application for Android devices, iPads and iPhones that lets you explore online magazines and other content with the swipe of a finger.

It's currently only available in the US. But there is a hacked APK, go here. It's very nice, I find it better than the Google Reader.

Can anybody recommend a good internet program for a Galasy SII...? I've heard of Dolphin HD, and the Opera series.... But I don't know which one is better.....

You wont get a useable answer on that, i use dolphin and think opera is a complete load of toss, and someone else will have the exact opposite opinion.
That's a personal preference issue, download both, check it out and decide in the one and only way that will give you an answer of any actual use to you.

Another vote for Dolphin, but seeing that they are both free, why dont you just install em both and see for yourself what one you like best.

I also used both but just use the original browser. No major flaws in them.

I tried Opera, Dolphin, Fennec and another one who's name I couldn't be bothered to remember. But I am back to the standard uncomplicated browser - It just works easier for me.
