Wow looks like manufacturers have been looking to give us what we need in the background,some interesting concepts indeed!

Thanks for sharing.....I can see some manufacturers taking this route as it should work.

If they can make it with a keypad and the thickness is under 12mm then why bother being restricted by a slate.

what do you mean by 2nd generation? isn't intel's ivy bridge chip the third generation?
