TopTV comes out tops

Well done. Any idea how many subscriptions they need before they have a return on investment? Speaking of which, it might be interesting to see how many of those 120k units are actually subscribed.

AFAIK they said 350k subscriptions.

How can you have 350k subscriptions with only 120k units sold?

Thats 230k people paying for a service without even buying the decoder? :erm:

Initially, ODM will launch a basic service aimed at the lower LSM markets, but at a later stage the broadcaster intends to look into PVR; On Demand; and High Definition. Govender ended by saying that to break even in ODM's first year of broadcast, it would require between 350 000 and 380 000 registered users.

Ok, so 350k subs wasn't exactly right for return investment as much as breaking even.:)

Can anyone explain why all of their movies last exactly 2 hours long according to the schedule on the website? Heavy editing??
